Beautiful work Eric! Love how you review new gear and showing the thought process when creating films.
Thanks man! 👊
Is the tripe ISO actually good? Thinking on upgrading the C80 manly for wedding work, but also start shooting some comercial as well

So good mate. Just got the C80 2 weeks ago. Any tripod recommendations? The Peak Design tripod might not get the job done anymore haha.

That magic moment when the pieces fit in the timeline. Never gets old. Loved the short and the breakdown!

I just watched the short before coming here and It was very inspiring. I really connect with these more sad short films and was moved by the actors smile at the end. It brought tears to my eyes! This was executed very well and I’m genuinely surprised there was no external lighting! That Canon performed well

Subbed 🤙🏼

This was just briliant, love those colors you got from there! How much time does it take you to colorgrade scenes like this with your luts?
Thank you, looking forward to the next film!

While I like the C80 for the triple base ISO, the hard 2 stop ND killed it for me in the C70. In my opinion, there's either too much ND or not enough, causing me to choose correct exposure over a shot that has shallow depth of field. Is this something you've run into in your C70/C80 use?

If the smoke alarm is smaller you can tape a plastic bowl over it to stop it triggering! Tip I picked up on a shoot recently!

Would be interesting to see if the R1 can perform in the short film space

So nuts to have 12,800 as a base ISO. That fire light was gorgeous. Great work, gents!

You might be interested in a film called 'The Old Man and the Land' which is essentially a feature length version of this idea- I saw it at a film festival last year!
