I love your videoes! Cant wait to watch this one!! When i was in isolation back in Jan and finally got to go see my little man, he was so excited to see me. He grabbed my hood and did a weird little chuckle whinny thing and wouldnt let me go. I cried 😅. Hes been my soulmate for nearly 2 and a half years now, i hated every second away from him.

Honestly it’s normal to have moments like this! But you haven’t really had woody for that long! I think your an amzing rider and I really look up to your riding ❤️I do think your riding has come along way since dear little ted! But obviously after 10 days isolation getting back into it we all just want it to “click” which we all know isn’t really going to happen! But we are all guilty of wanting waht we had before! But the woody update on the bit at the the end he honestly looked incredibly! You should be proud of what you have achieved abs how far you have come in suck little time with woody ❤️❤️

I am sure it was fantastic to see Woody again after your isolation!! Woody was loving being groomed by his mummy ❤ I can only imagine that having not riden him that this is where your crisis of confidence came as well as putting pressure on yourself, which were all good at and try our hardest not too!! Keep putting into practice what you've learnt from your lesson and it will fall into place 😁

My only complain (not a real one) was that this was too short and I wanted to see more of you and Woody 😍

I had some self-doubt the other day too -I was competing doing some showjumping ( I am very unexperienced competing) and I got a dodgy line to a fence and just sat there and my poor pony Paddy had no idea what to do and ran out. We came round again and jumped it fine and completed the round, but after I felt so awful because I had let him down. I just wanted to share so you did not feel like the only one going through this. We just all have to realise that its not easy, otherwise we would all be at the Olympics by now. :D

If you have access to a robot horse for lessons, that can help you with your balance because they don't compensate for the rider. Also, you don't have to think about their feelings. My heart ached for you when you were upset. You've got this. Riding is a journey. Sometimes there are detours. Take care and be brave.

O when u were upset I just wanted to give you a massive hug and let u know you are more than good enough. The reason I know this is because u always put Woody first in whatever u do. He loves u for being who u r when yr with him and he trusts u too. It's lovely that u r having lessons and learning lots but sometimes u may just need to step back and have a day of fun and enjoying. You are such a kind rider Rhi and every rider gets a confidence crisis but u recognise it and deal with it. There are plenty who don't and just blame the horse as of course their riding can't be anything to do with it ha ha. We are all human and if we are doing things wrong then we should try to correct it. That's what Yr doing as a good owner and rider. Give Woody a big hug and just enjoy xx

I was bringing my favourite horse at my riding school back into work over the last 6 weeks and i was letting the reins and my control slip a little bit at first because i was just so happy to have the time with her. I didn't realise while i was doing it but it lead to some problems while jumping, i would let the reins slip and lose control and contact and she would run out or stop dead in front of the fence and i couldn't see why, of course, looking back on it now i know exactly what i did and i also noticed my seat was way too relaxed on the first few days after a lot of work i now have her going lovely and she is back to the same amazing level she was at before so and i brought her on a hack yesterday and it was bliss point is we all have things to work on and that is okay because that's what makes us human!!

I do love an honest video. It's far too easy to post the best bits and the glamour, but life isn't all best bits and glamour! I think your doing great Rhi, and having a conscious awareness of things you want to work on is such a good thing.

Also, the child in me has to get this off my chest ... I have a horse called Woody too!!! 💕😆

It sucks that you had a tough time and were being rough on yourself but it looks like your solution to take a lesson was a good one. I'm inspired to take a schoolmaster lesson myself now!

Aww it broke my heart to see you hurting. It really hit home for me when you shared about being “good enough” for the horse in terms of skill and balance, in particular.

I have Cerebral Palsy, and although i am still quite mobile, when I took riding lessons years ago, the same thoughts went through my head. I ended up quitting riding because my confidence got so bad. So I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your story too, because I related to it.

Woody is such a good boy and y’all have an amazing bond, and that, to me, is something special.

Have a wonderful week and keep up the awesome work💜

Thank you Rhi, I do like the schooling videos, I learn something everytime. It doesn't seem to matter what you do with Woody, or how you feel, he just always looks so happy and chilled...he's just the best isn't he xx
