Hi Dave can I use onion powder instead of the onion or do you think it wont taste the same. Also in lieu of an immersion blender how can I get the onion completely incorporated into the water when or if it is whole? I think a regular blender will still not mush it up completely & I think this is key

it's close but it tastes like raw tomato puree
u need to cook the puree in a sause pan with some water for 4 minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients
