You have to figure out what you know in sports and what you don’t. Too many faces are being pushed who are cluelsss about the sports they are covering. This goes and women and men. It’s embarrassing and no one wants to hear it. Shannon sharpe is a perfect example of this, knows football very well and is clueless of almost every other sport. Pat mcafee is another, clueless if you are not talking football

I loved Katie during the World Cup! Katie and Midge provided insightful and light-hearted commentary during a squirrely run by the USWNT. I wish I had discovered her during the many years I watched MLB, but I dropped that drab content long ago. Keep going, Katie. I'm a fan!

And there's the problem. Baseball fans can't wrap their heads around why anyone on these national networks thinks that's what we want to hear during a game.

I love Katie. I actually enjoyed her on them.

Jessica Mendoza, I think, went through something similar. Men just seem to have a problem with women commentators in men's sports in general. Its the old misogyny and sexism rearing its ugly head, and I dont even know if some of them realize it.
