Through everything else, that try given to the Boks at 73:39 was clearly a major refereeing blunder only because the video of the the foot crossing the touch line before being grounded was downright obvious! Had that not happened, it would have been a fantastic try anyway!

I was lucky enough to be at Loftus that day.Maybe Schalke should've gone for the eye gouging (50 cap shirt saved him?) Plenty of debatable points during the game. One thing for sure,everyone who played absolutely gave their all

Burger should have been RC'd for gouging, BOD should have been RC'd for the shoulder charge, that RSA try was never a try and then ROG blew it for the tourists with a lazy and insanely stupid tackle to gift RSA the kick to win. Small margins they say? They were as wide as the Grand Canyon in this game.

I was there that day, having seen the full tour. In modern rules the SAFA's would have been down to 11 men in the first 20 minutes! That's said, one of the best Lions Tours I've been privileged to be part of. 😊
