Rogan claims animals have language but as someone who has studies this actually they don't have language with grammar and symbols like humans do. Animals have complex communication systems and rely on non-verbal calculations but these do not match what humans can achieve. When he claims chimps can solve puzzles but these are chimps that have been trained by humans (so the human ability to use language is imposed on the animal).

When rogan compared big foot stories to the stories of christ. 1) bigfoot doesnt create anything a more comparable metaphor would be there are stories the eiffel tower was created but we dont see the guy today. 2) most importantly the same type evidence for jesus used to accept cleopatra and caeser. Just multiple eye witness and written testimony/records. Its not like there is video or recordings of them. Just multiple written records just like Christianity.

Yes, even the Scientific Method proposes a hypothesis and a testing of known theory. All it can do is be 'more certain' but still not 100%. That is faith of a different sort.

Intellectually honest people don't take anything on faith.

Evidence is an observation or set of observations about the world that only has one logical explanation.

Nature is not random.

Humans are social animals, humans are not inherently selfish, humans are inherently moral, contrary to the fundamental assumptions of Christianity.

Humans are not good or bad, humans make good or bad decisions.

Evolution is the only explanation that makes sense given the world we live in. None of biology makes sense except in light of evolution.

Religion is not necessary for humans. Humans are not inclined to worship. Humans are inclined towards teamwork. Religion offers certainty which offers agreement which improves teamwork. But to believe with absolute certainty things that are false is bad. Religion is a great way to have that happen.

I think it’s interesting that Christians / Jews/ Muslims believe they have the monopoly on god. So if you believe reality and the universe and human kind was created by a higher power, than you MUST also buy into the Christian brand. The arguments are automatically twisted to fit the Bible.

You have to start thinking in terms of ultimate causes if you want to seriously consider Origin questions.

Joe, why are you trying to drag it back to human philosophy? The best ideas in philosophy come from God, and Stephen is talking about his motivation, not an ideology he rationally bought into.

"nature" doesn't "naturally" incline one to higher modes of thinking.

Ok for those who need revelation, I'm just saying that revelation doesn't produce belief or faith because the very son of God was on earth doing miracles and revealed himself, even though people had seen what they saw, they didn't believe, so revelation doesn't produce faith.
