ОтветитьGreat interview. Learned a lot. I don't like the term "fasting". I enjoy being fat adapted and not feeling hungry. I also feel better when there is no eating for about 16 hours between meals.
There is plenty of research pointing to improved autophagy and insulin response (for non-athletes) by having more time between meals. Still, to me that's not fasting. It's just time between meals.

ОтветитьI am really confused now because so far , this is the first time for me to hear comments that not really support intermittent fasting especially for anti-aging. He also recommends meat as a good food . I really want to have a healthy life and try to do things for anti-aging. With so many information from different podcasts , you don't really know what to believe.

ОтветитьIt seems like most views from Andy Galpin are about athletes and people who train hard and multiple time per day. I won't expect the same to apply to an already obese person, under muscular and who only do walking as their main exercise to try to loose some. I would like to have his views when it comes to fasting and keto in the context of an obese or morbidly obese person.

Finally Dr. Galpin made it on to the podcast! He gives great insight to alot of topics and myths that people still are unsure about. The way he as well as other clinicians and scientists approach things with “it depends” goes to show they follow research and weigh the pros and cons to everything before giving a one size fits all.

Seems like he was more concerned with his own intellectual perspectives and experiences than educating the listener🤷🏽♀️ But I did enjoy the quadrant exercise! That was great 👍🏽

ОтветитьI can understand the frustration with Andy’s lack of black and white answers, but it helps to recognize that the subject matter is incredibly gradient. These concepts are not simple, and as much as we all wish there were, there is simply no one-size-fits-all answer for many of the questions posed. I encourage those who are frustrated to refrain from rejecting honest information in favor of simple, yet inaccurate, information. Good luck to all trying to better themselves and their loved ones!

Supplements: 1) Multivitamin, 2) Creatine, 3) Fish oil

The problem of obesity is about foods that are not foods, foods that contain a preservative, about processed foods, herbicides and pesticides, which causes physiological problem because of its we need bio food just organic, and fermented products instead of products with a (toxic) preservative agent.

ОтветитьWow your knowledge needs updates! Fasting has been used for millennia to heal our bodies and cause autophagy…. The food needs to be talked as subjective as choice of clothes, we all have an internal system if we learn to understand our bodies guide us what works for us

ОтветитьIntermittent Fasting has made me feel the best and be the fittest I have been in 36 years, but as Dr. said, if it works for you, then stick to it. Just because it works best for me does not mean it will work for someone else. I also feel amazing working out fasted, but that's just me
