Will Autel STOP WORKING after subscription ends? Will my Scan Tool WORK WITHOUT a SUBSCRIPTION?

Hi, I'm struggling to program an additional key to a Mitsubishi Outlander 2012 using the MK808 2022 edition.

The error I'm getting after inserting new key after the master key is "key status can not be read"

Iv tried using another key, a used original Mitsubishi key belonging to another vehicle but I also get an error message "key is wrong type".


What can be the problem?


Also there are a few option the main two are Key register and Add an additional key? When should you use each one or what is the difference between the two?

Thanks for the explanation, but pls my autel mx808 can no long scan from 1999 model to 2007 which I use to scan it Before. Now I can only scan for 2008 upward and I dont know the problem please help me

usually they disable the ECU coding and some other online functions on some scanners. definitely topdon scanners and few others and obviously this.

So, did it work with expired subscription?

help please can't find any scanner that says it covers 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ

Hey bro i do have subscription expired.. and i am working on a car and even though it says its connected to internet, but using reapir assit it saying connect to internet, not allowing to download the file.. is it a problem because its expired!!

I recieved my MK906pro. It is not working on European cars! Apparantly I should have bought it at a EU dealer!!! That intel is nowhere to be found. Now trying to return the device, Autel is simply avoiding my question to send me the return adress. They admit it doesn't work ( mindblowing) but refuse to let me return the device. What a crap company!!

Is the autel 908 a better version than the 808 and does this same rule apply if you don't get subscription renewed

My subscription expired 4 month ago , it was still working until today , now it's asking to update before I can scan any car

I bought a autel elight around 2016 with 2ys free updates AND The subscription ran out my autel worked okay but I did notice that the Manuel and the function that takes me to the website for the codes did not work and I couldn't program or clone modules but I was able to program Honda keys and Ford keys but I did update it this year when they had their black Friday sale and I bought The subscription for about half The Price and I can Tell the big difference from an updated autel and one without a subscription and I really hope that autel does the sale again around Thanksgiving AND I am happy with my 1/2 price subscription!!!

There are so many versions of this devices i dont know what to pick.

The Autels will block out after a period of time when the subscription expires, mine did after 4 years....

My mx808 is bricked without a subscription. Never was made aware of that when I bought it. It's a joke.

I have 808 and printer function is gone and Ability to send report to email too. It wouldn’t reset a few thing too. Worthless now! I have XTool now.

My 1200 pound 906bt stopped working a couple of months after the subscription run out total rip-off 1200 quid down the drain

How's there not in the lawsuit against autel for this as customers are not signing contracts with the knowledge that this will happen in a few years after subscription expires.

My Maxisys doesn't have a lincoln mkz...do you know why? Can't read vin either.

My MP808TS has been expired since 2019. I just programmed 2 TPMS sensors, suddenly can't program last 2 says update device. At a minimum, after expiration go to wifi and forget networks and never connect it again. I considered it...and should have.

Need to report Autel to the FTC or FBI for Illegal contract violations, stripping basic functions, extortion, bricking devices

My DS808 still going strong and just updated it after subscription ended two years ago.

No it won't call autel they tell you you can't code try coding mini cooper 2010 at the end of coding it said to renew my membership will not code then it stops coding it forces you to buy it

Oh this is great! Thank you :) I thought you need active subscription to use it at all! I'm very happy to see this. Cos I will probably only update once every 4-5 years or so as I generally have older cars.

My mx808 won't work. It keeps saying subscription expired. It doesn't matter what I try, it won't do anything but tell me how much I have to pay to use it.

Just an FYI Autel pushed a mandatory update to my 906 Pro TS this week. It wouldn’t work without the update, and the update itself bricked my device and I can’t use it without paying the $700 for the subscription. I was one year past my initial expiration date so it IS possible for them to force you to update. I emailed support and they are refusing to help. Beware, maybe keep it offline (but I needed it online to print out reports).

Thanks for this, my workshop use the same scanner and i have been thinking if i won't be getting good value after my subscription expires.
