mine says hood not latched windows dont go down, partition is correctly in place!!!???

Does the hood (bonnet) have to be closed for top to work? Mines saying "hood not closed" but it is

Right now on my jaguar I'm getting a convertible top malfunctioning error! The top will let down but then it stops like 3-5 inches away from the latch and then I have to push it too close it! Any advice

Been shown two ways to activate reprogramming of top using window buttons but neither way is currently working and rear luggage cover is in proper position, any solutions?

Thanx just bought an xk. Wanted to drop the top and had this exact problem. Didn't know what to do. Was dreading taking this to the shop$$$$. Just gotta damn near empty my trunk.
