With all the arsenic in rice which won't wash off it's best to cook it like pasta as you did. the boiling and draining of the water does reduce the arsenic level. It's a concern not to be safe to feed babies and toddlers white rice or prepared rice cereals , especially if the rice is grown in the USA.
