रूस-यूक्रेन युद्ध में एक बड़ा डेवलपमेंट हुआ है. यूक्रेन और अमेरिका के अधिकारियों ने मंगलवार को सऊदी अरब में शांति वार्ता की. इस मीटिंग में अमेरिका की ओर से प्रस्तावित 30 दिन के सीजफायर को स्वीकार कर लिया गया है. यूक्रेनी राष्ट्रपति जेलेस्की ने कहा कि यह सीजफायर सिर्फ हवा या समुद्र में ही नहीं बल्कि पूरे मोर्चे पर लागू होगा. उन्होंने कहा, ‘यूक्रेन इस प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार करता है, हम इसे सकारात्क मानते हैं और इसके लिए तैयार हैं. अब अमेरिका को रूस को इस समझौते पर सहमत करने की जरूरत है.’ यह सीजफायर तभी संभव है जब रूस इसे माने.

Ukraine agrees to accept US proposal of an immediate 30-day ceasefire in war with Russia. The agreement was announced after more than 8 hours of peace talks between US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia. Ukraine endorsed an American proposal for a 30-day ceasefire and agreed to immediate negotiations with Russia in crunch talks in Jeddah on Tuesday after three years of grinding war.The positive response from Ukraine prompted President Donald Trump's administration to lift a freeze on military aid and to predict the beginning to an end of the conflict."Today we made an offer that the Ukrainians have accepted, which is to enter into a ceasefire and into immediate negotiations," US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters after around nine hours of talks in an ornate hotel in Jeddah."We'll take this offer now to the Russians and we hope they'll say yes to peace. The ball is now in their court."If they say no then we'll unfortunately know what the impediment is to peace here," Rubio said of Russia, which launched a full-scale invasion of its smaller neighbour in February 2022.
