ОтветитьNSV has always seemed a little off to me. Part of it is the idea of using weight loss as the thing to measure against and therefore making weight loss seem like the main goal when it's only the main goal for some people. The other thing is that NSVs are so hyped that it sometimes feels like people are saying you shouldn't celebrate weight loss. There have been times when people are posting all their NSVs and I want to celebrate losing 5 pounds but I don't post anything. I understand it but it sometimes feels exclusionary. Almost like your weight loss victory is less important than someone else's victory. I think they're equally important.
ОтветитьI love this insight, thanks for sharing! I'm curious how exactly the NSV phrase came about. First time I heard about it was doing WW a long time ago, after weekly weigh-ins. NSVs were treated as sort of a consolation prize if the scale number didn't go the desired direction. Maybe the better reframe is in the context of metabolic health victories, where scale weight is sort of a byproduct of improving overall metabolic health markers.
