The actors did a phenomenal job! And these people are absolutely phenomenal... excellent interview!!

Mark Ruffalo even nailed the side lip thing! wow so amazing they all matched these people even the voices.

god damn. the casting for this movie is genius. every single actor resembled these real life people so darn well.

Ben Bradlee, Jr.'s Dad was instrumental in bringing the Watergate Scandal to light at the Washington Post. Between that and Ben, Jr.'s Pulitzer Prize-winning work on exposing the Catholic Church's abuse of children, it's such an amazing family legacy both father and son have managed to carve out. And both have been given the Hollywood treatment, too ... Very cool!

It was a wonderful how the Boston Globe Spotlight team reported this story. I wish now they could do indigestive reporting on the Protestant Church and their world wide missionary staff and the abuse done to their own children and the nationals they supposedly went to reach for God. There is much evidence of abuse and cover up. Moving abusers to different parts of the world from one boarding school to another where the abuser continues to abuse more children.

What a wonderful group of people. A credit to their trade. If all journalists were like this and if more papers were as serious minded as the Globe, the trade would not be held in the low esteem that it sometimes is.

I was blown away by this movie in many ways, but after seeing this interview, i am blown away agsin, how those actors worked really hard, depicting the real characters, they i guess just swallowed these people’s movement, speaking style, everything, omg omg omg!!!

Wow, I had never seen the real-life Matt Carroll before - I don't think people talked enough about how spot-on the casting of Brian d'Arcy James was for him!

People who raped defenseless boys and girls should get the capital punishment in front of every body. In front of every T.V screen, and anything that people can witness. That is how we can protect future generations. That is the smallest justice we can give them. But the western world don't do that. They say the criminals are sick, or the most they do is they take them to jail, knowing those criminals has destroyed people's lives. For future predators to rise Western world gave it safe haven. Islam is the only faith that calls to justice. I can say that, because if I had authority to do that you would have got nothing less.

As a former Catholic in a very small town, the only sexual activity the priest was suspected of was with other women! THANK GOD!! I will forever be stunned at the fact that this activity was protected by a society that claims to have come out of the Dark Ages! This behavior would not be tolerated in any other society!! WTF?? As Garabedian said, "It takes a village to raise a child and it takes a village to abuse one", speaks to the support this most horrendous crime of all, the wholesale rape of children, had among Catholics and those in positions to stop it, instead covered it up all along the way! Just stunning!!

The sad fact is that we currently have a Pope that also took part in the cover up which was a universal cover up. Not just a US one. "Throughout the trial, Grassi claimed to be supported by numerous bishops, especially Cardinal Bergoglio, who, he said, “never let go of my hand [and] is always at my side.”
Cardinal Bergoglio is now Pope Francis. He personally ordered a discrediting book against the victims so as to try to sway the Judges in South America. He is still lying about it to this day.

Hollywood screenplays are usually structured so that the most cinematically exciting moments are at the half-way mark. At the half-way mark in SPOTLIGHT they decide to do a reverse look-up of Priest's histories in the Catholic Church publications. That they managed to make this exciting and dramatic is genius.

Walter Robinson's Boston accent is ridiculously strong lmao. Keaton nailed it.

You can see and hear how well leiv Schreiber did portraying martys excellent leadership and ability to clearly look at basic malpractices and ask questions that others aren't willing to ask. He politely to the interviewers question says i didnt sharpen these guys, i just came in and got them to look at a story that i thought was worth looking into. He doesn't take any credit and defaults to Robby(team player coach) to give the answer, its clear why the globe brought him in. His leadership mixed with his humility, and being an outsider was the perfect match for this team and what he helped them accomplish. He literally has the same presence in the room u just feel his words mean so much when he speaks calmly and in a few words. Reminds me of "talk softly and carry a big stick"

Amazing, brilliant film and well done to all involved at the Globe. I would go as far to say this film should be shown in schools to warn kids of religious dangers to them

This is my favorite movie of all time. I’ve watched it over and over again over the years - geez, at least 100 times. I come from a background of organized religion, and I can resonate with almost everything in this movie. And as much as it’s painful to watch and hear about the abuse, it really helps to know that there are people out there that truly care. And these journalists really really cared! The casting was 100% on point, honestly it couldn’t have been better. Bravo 👏🏽👏🏽 to everyone that participated in making this film, but more so to Marty Baron for pushing a “follow” to the Spotlight team. We all appreciate the team for bringing this story to the public eye with such passion, emotion and empathy. ❤

The Spotlight Team did God’s work. This was such an important story. They literally changed the world.
