But you didn't even mention that you need to hold the "confirm" button to upgrade both shell and weapons, gave me days of confusion and the only one that said about it is a game article.....
Like wtf, your medium should be more informative and helpful but this you forgot to say this f@#$ing tiny little very important detail.......

This game is actually kicking my ass so far (beat DS, DS3, and Bloodborne.) Got 2 shells so far and it's still beating me.

Just found out that after you kill an enemy if you keep attacking your resolve bar fills right back up so just keep hitting lol

Finished the game in 5 hours
Killing all bosses
Getting every single weapon and shell and upgrade it to the maximum level such a masterpiece of a game

I went through a 3rd of the game, got all the shells and weapons, and beat the first martyer all without having the tarnished seal.
I figured picking up a chain holding down a giant monster in a souls like wasn’t a very good idea. Was shitting bricks once I actually looked it up and found out what it gave you.

As someone who knows nothing about this game I obviously learner alot

game is beautiful but very difficult WAY harder than dark souls

If u use the mushroom while poisoned 1st time, u instantly fill up familiarity and get the immunity effect

Saying you can harden anytime is misleading, there is a cooldown after hardening. Otherwise you'd just continually harden. Things like mushrooms take 5 real world minutes to re-spawn.

I am surprised at how good this dark souls type game is. Glad I picked it up, it's really really fun.

Saw the hint of the tower and then was like hell no. I'm going to explore the right way by going the opposite way. Encounterd goblins that jump on me and killed me four times instant regret. But I took them on one by one pushed through. Read a book in a creepy place on an altar and battled my shell. After that I found a new shell could not figure out how to get it of and all the stupid poison shit. So now I'm going to head to the tower.

Wish they'd do a DLC with 2 more dungeons

These aren’t tips at all… they’re basically spoilers. It just tells you where you’ll go, what you’ll use, game mechanics. They’re not tips, they’re literally just telling you what happens as you play the game. So dumb.
The comment section is more helpful.

I recommend finding all shells and weapons first than do the dungeons. It'll be easier that way
Edited: bc when you have a gland trust me it's annoying you won't have to do anything but run you'll see

Also, sipping the divine tar from Sester Genessa will completely fill your health bar while resetting the enemies, even if you don't upgrade your shell. This can be useful in any situation that you have already wasted one life of your shell since it'll also reset, when you're low on healing items and will be particularly useful after completing each temple cause you'll be having hordes of enemies after you.

I honestly find this game a fair bit harder than any of the souls games. Just mob enemies hit you like a truck.

Thanks for the refresher. I played this years ago— i was on ng+3 —but forgot everything, and after upgrading to the ps5 version, my save data would not transfer, so I’ve had to start from scratch again. Idk why the save data won’t transfer.

Anyway, I love this game! And appreciate the tips!!🤓
