I know this sounds morbid but I’m kinda glad pearl has passed. She was living in just a horrible environment, and maybe sure she could have gone to a better owner later, her stay at Jenny’s would be bad enough. She might have also had lifelong affects from being with Jenny. Sounds sad I know, but I think it was for the better.

For ANY baby that is having diarrhea should go to the vet. Kittens, puppies, etc. It’s something that should be a worry with any baby. Same with not popping/peeing.

That’s why you have to keep an eye on this stuff.

i didnt know about this and its awful to hear that this has happened. i 100% agree with you that the cause of death was gross neglect (involving pepto bismol), however i wish you would stop just taking what someone says and making it up. she said a tumour, possibly cancerous, and you proceed to yell at her for saying its cancer. she said the foal might die, she didnt say i dont Care the foal might die
its so hard to watch your videos because i agree with you and i want justice to come to these people but you really love to make shit up mid sentence when it was already awful enough you didnt NEED to make things up about it

I also do not believe she took the foal the vet at all. Forgive me because I've been away from the Equine hobby for some time so my knowledge on horse husbandry is shaky. But I have a similar example, my dog had two masses on her, at the time they thought they were just fatty masses as older dogs can get them but removed them and got them tested. We didn't get results back for about a week and one was actually cancer but because it was removed so early, she was cancer free after the operation.

All pets deserve owners, but not all people deserve pets.

I don’t own horses. I want to and I love this channel! And I would only have called a vet and not self diagnosed. I’m a little confused though bc I just saw this article from CSU James L Voss vet teaching hospital. It says (unless I’m missing something) that it’s ok to give to foals under right conditions. FOAL DIARRHEA: WHAT’S ALL THE STINK ABOUT?

So what is someone to do when a vet tells you something and you don’t know it’s bad advice and to question it? I’m still learning and just trying to learn.

I thought it was common knowlegde to not give animals human meditations in general. I dont give my cat any medicin unless specifically made for cats and my vet Said i should (except flea meds but those arent taken internally)

I've always rode english. I rode Western once. I didn't like it. I'm also really good at it. Apparently my first year doing it. I was allowed to do a lot more Things with the horse then other people who were also in their first year were not allowed to just because I actually listened and did what I was told. I was the only one that was allowed to actually get the horse running instead of trotting. Or a slow gallop. Which really p*** off some people that have been there for 3 years. Including my ex-girlfriend to the point where she straight up. Quit riding horses because I was better than her and she tried to make me feel bad about it.

To preface this; I have absolutely no equine knowledge, and am not in these spaces at all. I’m only hearing about this story for the first time from this video, and thus have no stakes in this. From what I’ve seen, I agree that HQ is in the wrong. That being said, I didn’t read what she said in one of her posts as meaning she “doesn’t give a shit” about whether the foal lived or died. It seemed to me like she was saying that it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that a perfectly normal foal had gone downhill overnight, as it’s common for them to go downhill quickly and suddenly. Perhaps it was worded poorly, but I don’t think she was flat out saying she didn’t care, and that instead it wouldn’t be surprising.

Even if I was the type of person to breed animals for profit, letting the babies die because they got sick just... Seems like a waste of effort and potential profit? Of course there's going to be "production costs." That's how ANY business works. Seems to me a healthy, grown horse that can be sold , at the cost of regular vet visits, would be more profit than a dead foal and nothing to sell.

My boyfriend and his wife have a Pearl, shes beautiful and sweet and i cant imagine the doing anything this irresponsible

I don't dwell in horse internet but between learning about this and the Prezewalski horse smuggling situation, I think it's safe to say your side of the internet is really wild

What came to my mind about her colon cancer/tumor diagnose, we had beef cattle when I was a kid and once I saw a dead one, their intestines started to come out of their butt due to body decomposition. Maybe same happened to the foal and she tought it was what caused the death.

I'm not into horses but its basic knowledge that if anyone is experiencing diarrhoea you have to keep up your fluids and electrolytes

You would be horrified by how horses are treated, I use to live on a horse ranch that kept racing horses, and I can tell you there is no legitimate reason to keep horses like pets AT ALL. It's disgusting and inhumane how horse people treat horses.there is no reason for ownership of horses these days, the only reason people do is to cosplay being cowboys, and these are the same people who kill pets because they don't know or won't take care of them properly. Horse people are some of them most self absorbed, evil people.

She had a foal with diarrhea and came out with the medicine equivalent of a drain plug. Very "if I just stop it this will go away" type solution. Poor Pearl.

I believe that she did not get an autopsy. If she's not gonna spend the money to have a vet actually, lay their eyes on the baby. Then she's not going to have the money to pay for an autopsy. Think about it. She's too cheap. I agree. If you don't have the money to pay for a vet, you shouldn't be trying to play God and bring babies into this world. None of us KNOW, everything we should be able to learn something new and grow as human beings. None of us should claim knowing everything, and here I'm a professional

From what I've been reading about the other things this lady allegedly did in this very comment section, something tells me she didn't call the vet not to save money, but because she was worried they might see something with Pearl or one of the other horses and report her.

She didn't say she didn't give a shit. She said it wouldn't surprise her because foals' health condition tends to be unstable. It doesn't mean that she didn't care for this horse. And now I get that you think she was handling the foal irresponsibly, but what she said in this first story doesn't really matter? Like, who cares if what she felt about the horse's death? I personally only care about how she handled their illness, not about her emotional state. Let's normalize not being emotional over everything. You don't have to be very emotional about the animals your keeping to be a responsible owner.
Now, once again, I'm not saying that she was a responsible owner. I'm saying that the first story shown in this video doesn't give us any information about that.
