Top 10 Open Earbuds in 2024 (RANKED with CUSTOM Scoring)

So the Bose Ultra Open came out earlier in Australia than expected. They arrived right after I finished filming this video so I'll have a full review coming out soon and add them to the ranking

These open headphones are the only reason why I can listen to audio again. I have very sensitive TMJD that over ear and inear headphones trigger. I get migraines when my TMJD flares up so having these open buds gives me pain free listening. I hope they keep getting better.

I'm getting ready to buy one of these headphones. Can someone explain to me? Does the external earphones ultimately emit sound, or does it conduct sound through the bone, like Philips? It would disturb me in a quiet environment and there would be no point in not using a headset if whatever I was listening to could be heard.

I bought the tozo and absolutely love them! I use them alot while sleeping and they stay put.

Thanks for your great work and your neutral and detailed overview! But i have to give you a harsh feedback about your view on ip rating:
1. you should not give shox such a good score here! IP54 is as good as IPX4, so it is not good for headphone use. The water resistance of 4 means resistance of 10minutes of water „splashing“… not enough for running in the rain for more than 10min 🙈 And the IPX on the other buds does only mean manufacturer does not care about particel/dust rating, so they dont do the testing based on ipxx standards. What makes absolutely sense for me, as i cant imagine a situation for earphones were dust would be a concern not backed by water tests anywas.
2. ipx4 rating is not enough for heavy sweating and/or rain! I made two earbuds malefunction (reversible after drying out) due to sweating only (truefreeO1 & Blitzmax). And I destroyed the truefreeO1 completly due to moderate rain (approx. 1,5h running).
Conclusion for me:
IPx4 -> 0-1Points (not feasable for sports activities; stop using them in rain emediatly)
IPx5 -> 2-8Points (not sure yet… i will find out with my next ipx5 buds🙈)
IPx6 -> 9 (should be standard for eye-phones… in my ears :D)
IPx7/8 -> 10 (is standard for Iphones: IP68)

Thanks so much for this video bro! Ive been looking for bud SPECIFICALLY for calls, and was looking at the shokz but are pretty expensive, and ALSO wondering about the SC AERO FIT and that call test with background noise makes this video REALLY HELPFUL! 👍🏼👍🏼

Awesome review i checked out several videos looking for a good pair of openear buds. You were the only one who suggested the tozo then i checked comments and everyone is happy with your suggestion of the tozo so i checked and bestbuy has them $60 off got 2 pairs for $100 was about to spend $235 for the aerofit pro with 2 year warranty instead got 2 pairs for less then half that 👌👍

Tozo has become my go to for audio these day

I haven’t tried all of these. I have the Soundcore Aerofit Pro and the only complaint I had was the volume level, but the update fixed that. I needed to switch to an earbud that didn’t seal with rubber tips as my ears were getting really irritated with the in ears that I had. I love the Aerofit Pro and feel no reason to even try anything else. They sound better than any of the in ears that I ever tried and don’t irritate the ear in the least.

my OWS pro can't be used for calls very easily. I don't know where the microphone is but I have to constantly rotate these to the back if I want the person I'm talking to to hear me. Never had this problem with my OWS 2's.

Ordered both 😂 Tozo and 1more. Its not comparable. 1more is quality product level of apple. Tozo is cheap plastic, feel not comfortable wearing it after 30 min. Its pushed hard on ear. Definitely my choice is 1more. Difference was 40euro. But its differnt level products. I get 1more fo 99euro😊. Tozo send back.

I owned TOZO and Soundcore.Aerofit pro. I love the Tozo fit very comfortable and lightweight. One charge can wear for whole day. Sound is louder then SoundcoreAero pro.Price us half of it. I have ear pain wearing Soundcore Aeropro for more then 2hours. It have good battery life, nice case and lightweight.

wow, talk about thorough! One thing I am wondering. Mainly listen to audiobooks and wondering if any one pair is better for that over listening to music. Should also mention I will only listen with one buds in the left ear as I lost my hearing in my right ear a few years back.
