I was wondering, before the bandsaw, was the jigsaw able to cut hardwood like maple, beech, and walnut? I ask because I wanted to create children's toys but having a super hard time with my coping saw:( Can't afford a bandsaw or scroll saw yet, so I have been thinking Jigsaw if it can do the job.
