Spaten - Oktoberfestbier

I loved this one. Favourite from all this years octoberfest beers I’ve had so far, only one more left to try. But I’m confident to say spaten was my favourite.

Myself and two mates we are doing an Oktoberfest, football, and German food day on the 30th - we have 12 bottles of this one, 12 bottles of Hoffbrau Oktoberfest and Erdinger Oktoberfest. This is the one I'm slightly nervous about as originally it was meant to be Lowenbrau Oktoberfest, but i'm guessing it sold out when my mate ordered them.

It’s not bad. The hacker pschor, Paulaner and weihenstephaner all better for what, 20/30p more?

Great review Paul, think I'll give this one a miss. Where cheap German lager is concerned I think i'll stick to Steinhauser from Aldi which I actually think for the price is pretty good. 👍

I was underwhelmed by this one compared to the other Oktoberfest beers. Drinkable but meh.

Seen a load of reviews of spaten on here from the beer review regulars & you're the first one that I've seen that doesn't rate it. Maybe it's a bottle keg thing. Lowenbrau oktoberfest is the same. I Absolutely love this stuff & like I've said above loads of great reviews of both on here but everyone to their own I suppose.

A lot of Münchners rate Spaten as the “least likable” of the Oktoberfest beers. Still, in the beer tent I can drink it all day long. Hoping you have the Augustiner Oktoberfest in your box!

Having this one right now. Absolutely agree with everything you say in the review. It's disappointing, tastes like a cheap lager. Wouldn't give it more than a 4/10

I know I'm late on this one, just wanted to say Frankie only uses hop extract aswel Paul tbf. Then again they're the same company really or at least they've been joined for a long time. Great review as always 👍

You're spot on with this review, oktoberfest specials are supposed to be special! I'd rather drink bittburger, or warsteiner than this.

Does spaten have two different Oktoberfest beers?

Another one I could only have in Munich, we get the Marzen here in the US. Drank more than a few of those! Love Spaten
