disagree with keith's take on the playoff format "working", i think eventually the rivalry aspect will mean more to the fans/media than it does the teams, and they'll get sick of it. And in regards to what biz said with "at the end of the day it's about the fans", 1.) a shit ton of fans like the playoff format the other way and 2.) how can us fans expect a good product if the players we're watching are being put below the fans? doesn't sound like an equation for good hockey, which at the end of the day is what matters to the fans

Biz complaining about how tax situation for Canadian players while forgetting that 4th liners in Toronto have endorsement deals. You think that same player is getting that in Dallas? Or the same exposure?

We going to start factoring in cost of living too? Does team’s city have city taxes? Sales tax rates? Property tax rates? Auto and property insurance (here in MI, car ins is 2X the price of OH) the list is endless.
Pressure should be put on governments to rollback their authoritarian, nanny state socialism.

For those that say the current PO format historically hasn’t changed much from what it would be 1-8. That’s just been by chance. The likelihood going forward is it will have more of an effect. If PO started today, 5 of the 8 series would be different in a 1 vs 8 format.

The biggest problem with the current PO system is that it’s often teams who are 2nd and 3rd in div., get screwed. If 1-8, then Stars and Avs would get wild and oilers.

Getting 2nd in your division and having to play 3rd vs getting 7th in. Conf is bs.

Olivier has become one of my favorite players on the Jackets. It’s nice having an enforcer who also loves the city. Makes him feel like an actual warrior instead of just a hockey player.

You need to ask more fight questions specifically about specefic fighters. Ask the hard questions.... how he feels he would do in a rematch against looch now that he's improved in fighting.. ect.

Just do an adjusted rate if a player gets traded. The highest taxed team would be 1.0 and say the lowest is 1.2x. Each team would have their number and your salary adjusts to the team you are traded to
