I heard recently of plans by a few billionaires to set up a shelter for themselves and their families to survive a nuclear war in New Zealand.
They were planning to employ armed guards to protect themselves from any desperate survivors outside, but were worried about the guards seizing control.
One of the tycoons came up with a solution: the guards would be fitted with electric shock collars so that they would have to obey their masters.
I can see people in the security industry taking money to set up such a bolt-hole, and to be on long-term standby for it: but if a nuclear war ever seemed likely, would any employees turn up at the VIP shelter and, more importantly, put on the electric shock collars?
For God's sake!!! Try to pronounce the name of the palace properly!!!! I don't think Americans should be allowed to produce programs like this unless they can manage the words. Ignorant person... what's his name? To be avoided.
ОтветитьTeach your bot how to pronounce Blenheim correctly.
ОтветитьAn interesting article, but if you are going to take the trouble to make these items, at least make the effort to pronounce the names correctly.
ОтветитьWot the... pronunciation. It's like repeatedly calling Tucson..Tucks on
ОтветитьWhat on earth is a Blen-hyme? And what have 'dollars' to do with English heritage?
Please take the time to get it right. I would make all the difference, and prevent giving false education to well meaning people. Thank you.
Apart from mispronouncing Blenheim, over and over (which is really annoying )it was getting quite interesting, then at less than the halfway point it switches to Florida 🤷♀️
Ответить"Blen-uhm" not "Blen-Heim". Just sayin.
ОтветитьIf Americans MUST produce "documentaries" about Britain, please do us the courtesy of learning how to pronounce ENGLISH!!!!!
