To a landlubber like me, the rising seas are threatening enough without the continually breaking wave tops
to add to the hazards of navigating a safe passage. Vivid evidence of how unforgiving the ocean can be
even in proximity to shore.
Do they have pots on deck!!?
ОтветитьClassic Westcoast halibut boat, she has probably survived many worse storms in her life.
ОтветитьCaptains error again.
ОтветитьA lot of skill demonstrated by all 👏👏
Ответить😎🇺🇸🙏GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD 🙏🧜🏼♂️❤️🤙
Ответить😎🇺🇸🧜🏼♂️AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL SEAMEN SERVING ABOVE & BELOW THE SURFACE 🧜🏼♂️🌊
Ответить😎🇺🇸We May Have Political Enemies Elsewhere, But Not When You Are Swimming In The Middle Of The Ocean After Sinking
ОтветитьRESPECT.
ОтветитьCAP'N Coast guard was almost a hazard to navigation .
ОтветитьGreat Video, New Sub, thanks for sharing
ОтветитьPucker factor #9!
ОтветитьI loved being stationed at Gray's Harbor in 1977-1978. The rough bar was scary the first time, after my initiation, it was a lot of fun. It learned to trust the 44' and 52' boats in any weather. I lost three friends on the 41332 at Cape Disappointment in 1977 during a training accident.
ОтветитьMore impressive that those boats even float with the weight of those massive granite balls behind the wheels
ОтветитьCrazy. The fishing vessel came across like it was just a walk in the park. Easy peasy - just another day in the office.
The official vessels made it look like something crazy was going on!
good video❤🎉
Ответитьvery nice video😮
ОтветитьThe bar sure was firing that day.
ОтветитьChange of underwear required
ОтветитьI'm more relaxed while watching horror
ОтветитьWe use to call this a crappy day
ОтветитьSylvia reigns supreme in her element. She was designed for this.
Ответить"The Pacific", they called it....
ОтветитьF/V Sylvia is magnificent! Her master knows her well.
ОтветитьShe looked like she was doing it easier than the Coastguard vessel following her!
ОтветитьNobody noticed me on my kayak. The big guys get the glory.
ОтветитьThey function as Bar-Tender.....🤔
ОтветитьUm, both boats need a LOT more speed...
ОтветитьBig balls in that wheel house
ОтветитьThe sea was angry that day my friends,,,,,,
ОтветитьThe coast guard escort boat looked to be in more peril than the fishing vessel it was escorting 😮!
ОтветитьThe video is one that could definitely use some explanation or narrative to it. The footage is really good but could be better if someone was talking about what we’re looking at
ОтветитьBetter them than me!
ОтветитьUtter BS. Stay off shore, and heave-to if the bar conditions are shite. Risking everyone’s lives because you’re a self-obsessed wank who needs to hit shoreside immediately is pure and utter BS.
Ответить52 footer is a tough old boat. Sylvia should have waited off shore till the bar settled down. Stupid idea could have used a drouge also.
Ответить5 crew members on the flying bridge ?? coast guard ?
ОтветитьNONE OF THE BOATS LOOKED TO BE IN TROUBLE AT ANY TIME .THEY PROBABLY DO THIS OFTEN ENOUGH THAT THEY ALL KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO EXPECT AND TO DO . WELL DONE BY ALL
ОтветитьHuge balls in the wheel house
ОтветитьVery top salty dog in the wheel house 😮😮😮😮
ОтветитьDangerous situation. Well handled.
ОтветитьThe Government commissioned these vessels back when they cared about the fishing industry that 52 footer is one hell of a boat but why is it that they don't build three newer ones to protect the Sea men now well it's because they are not collecting enough taxes of them to care for their lives anymore 😢
ОтветитьAin’t nuthin a 170 Montauk won’t cut through
(I am obviously kidding)
these are the real people of america , while all the grubs go into politics to get their snouts in the trough , well done USCG .
Ответитьjust another day at the office
ОтветитьWhy in the HELL would you do that?
ОтветитьThat is rough sea.
ОтветитьWhat most people do not understand here is that a strong outgoing current(river) is pushing against the incoming seas. This causes the seas to grow exponentially and even start to form breakers where the water depths shallow.
ОтветитьI've been to Newport a number of times but have never seen that bar this turbulent! Pretty gut-wrenching. That Sylvia Capt. had his hands full! No doubt he was extremely glad for the CG being nearby!!!
