Happy Spooktober! 🍂🎃💗
ОтветитьAlways loved the 'He was a zombie?' line. Looking forward to part two!
ОтветитьNew KC video, lesgo
Ответитьnice to see an argentinian that isnt delusional??
ОтветитьTo me, the whole "is it scary?" thing misses the point a little. Maybe it's because I'm a bit older than you but i never really found any ToH segment to be "scary" and I'm not convinced they're meant to be... At least not on a level above the more family-friendly aspects of Hallowe'en. I'd be putting more emphasis on the comedy and parody elements, which i feel is the main point of the ToH episodes.
Those slight nit-pics aside, I really enjoyed the video though! 👍
Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! The order in which you ranked these segments is objectionable! Reeeeeeeeeeeeee!
ОтветитьOH HELL YEAH
Ответить"I've got to review these holistically" without knowledge of a majority of the references to classic shows, movies, and literature.... Ehhhh, I know that comedy shouldn't rely on references, but The Simpsons humor is very much in conversation with popular culture across time. It's a main aspect of the series. I feel a little extra homework would let you appreciate these jokes a bit more.
ОтветитьThe scariest one was when homer said he loved bart
ОтветитьMaybe you should have made two ranking for scariness and funniness.
ОтветитьI hope you're joking about not recognizing King Homer
ОтветитьI feel like the only person who was scared of Terror at 5 /½ Feet
ОтветитьDVD TRIVIA: In America at least, the best selling collection of Treehouse of Horror episodes is Seasons 6/7/8. BUT, it also came with Season 13's edition attatched on. Because of this, a significant number of people born from 1995 to 2005 think that 'Wiz Kids' is considered a classic entry.
Ответитьthe ending of barts dracula is a peanuts holiday special parody
ОтветитьIts not the funniest one but Nightmare Cafeteria stood out to me as a kid for being the most genuinely scary, like its a horrifying concept as a kid and the way you see Milhouse, Bart and Lisa all die horribly is a real shock. Also I love the scene where Marge brushes off their concerns since it so rapidly and humorously deals with the question of why the parents don't intervene.
ОтветитьI hated the ending of the thing and i. They made Marge too cruel just because they all realized bart was the evil twin. Hiding a kid is cruel enough but to do it to a kid you loved for years after learning that he's evil? Might as well give him up
ОтветитьThe ending of Homer3 really upset me as a kid, mainly because Dan's voice acting made me really scared for Homer, and I didnt understand the erotic cakes punchline.
ОтветитьI love the raven but I hate terror at 5 1/2 feet.
Ответитьhow did i just get the dont touch willie joke
Ответить"Look at me, I'm Davey Crochet.
Ответить3d Homer No 1 for me.
ОтветитьWas hoping to see you’d upload, great video!
ОтветитьIt doesn't make a huge difference, but you ask why the evil Krusty doll segment focuses on Homer rather than Bart - it's a parody of a Twilight Zone episode where a man is terrorized by his daughter's doll, so it makes sense to be Homer-centric.
ОтветитьI believe King Homer is a parody of King Kong
ОтветитьMartin's scream was absolutely harrowing Russi Taylor did a superb job
ОтветитьAlways a high point are THOH
ОтветитьHow do you not know the monkey paw. That's what it's a parody of for treehouse 2 segment 1. The raven is more intelligent but kind of boring after 1st viewing. Still good but not in my top 25 treehouse segments.
ОтветитьIt's funny how gen z has fell in love with the references and memes over the great memories developed over our youth. So many segments feel like were rank based on memes.
ОтветитьHomer sells his souls is classic and one of my favorites.
ОтветитьFor "The Raven" segment: "I don't know what Homer was scared of," there in lies the point that Homer, of all people, understands the poem better than the kids do, especially Lisa. It represents the divide kids and adults have over what qualifies as "scary" or "horror" given the first two segments feature more childish -- and therefore -- primal ideas of horror like haunted places or things trying to eat you. Whereas "The Raven" is more adult in its scope on horror given it's about a man mourning the loss of his love and a seemingly supernatural raven haunting and taunting him that he will never see said love again, driving him to madness. Homer is a grown man with a lot to lose, the fact he's cast as the protagonist along with Marge as Lenore in the segment reinforces this, and the idea of never seeing her strikes a chord within him.
So the kids can only rationalize the horror in "The Raven" as like Friday the 13th: Part 1; tastes were different and people were probably easier to scare in 1845. Homer understands the "The Raven" as potentially losing your loved ones and being driven mad by your grief and hopeless longing.
The Raven is scary to Homer, because it is a metaphor for death and as the adult, who is therefore more conscious of his mortality, it scares him, where it doesn't scare the kids.
That's always been my reading anyway...
People were really made to be interested in being eaten huh
Ответить"The Monkey's Paw" is a parody of "The Monkey's Paw" lol. Seriously. It's basically an adaptation/rip-off/comedy-version of a horror story called The Monkey's Paw.
ОтветитьWhat about the Comics? There is another person who read them and made the first part of an video.
Ответитьi dont get behind why you put soo much emphasis on it being funny .. its a treehouse of Horror the focus should be in my eyes how scary or how well they input Horror
ОтветитьThere is an episode set on Halloween but not a special. They have 2 Halloween simpsons episode genres, specials and a Halloween episode that's not a special.
ОтветитьNightmare cafeteria
That's all i'll say
the ending of bart simpsons dracula is referencing a charlie brown christmas
Ответить"I threw away my vote by voting for a minor candidate"
Are you telling me that you don't have a system where the president has to get over 50% of the votes to be put in office?
Man, Poland trurly is a beacon of Democracy.
I love the one where Marge and her sisters are witches and at the end Homer is throwing eggs at his own house. 🤣
ОтветитьThe Monkey Paw segment is a parody of a Twilight Zone episode.
ОтветитьMy favorite full episodes from this era are 1, 3, 4, and 8. 2 just isn't scary at all, and I love all three segments from 5, but hate the outro.
Ответить
