This dude is off the mark on many points
ОтветитьThe Americans could be 'generous' thanks hugely to the hegemony of the USD and its depegging from gold.
ОтветитьTotally agree with Fareed Zakaria on Indo-US relations. Strategic alliance between India and the US is the best insurance against Chinese threat to India. It is also the cheapest for India. It should be remembered that no US ally has been invaded by another county. One should also recognise ALL US allies are prosperous democracies and they got there with the help of America. America invests in its allies.
If India plays the game of hunting with the hounds and running with the hares, nobody will have a vested interest in India. Nobody will stand by a country that is unreliable.
Take Pakistan. America stood with Pakistan throughout. Gave it enormous military and economic aid. Pakistan did not use it effectively like Japan or South Korea. They could’ve transformed their country but the generals chose to line their pockets. They also thought by fanning fanaticism, America would always need them to deal with the Muslim world.
I have written many times - Nehru’s biggest blunder was his inability to understand how the world works. And, that is not ideal or utopian. Global power politics is brutal not moral. Had INC agreed to join the Anglo-American alliance in 1947, India would not have been partitioned and today, India would be like Japan. Factory of the world instead of China.
But, for an alliance with America to work, India also needs to be a country of laws. It has to be truly democratic, egalitarian and inclusive. Hindu-Muslim conflict will not be helpful. India must focus on socioeconomic growth exclusively and not pursue things like Hindu nationalism which is destined to lead India to disaster. There’s no two ways about it. It will be same as what Pakistan has done for itself.
What about the military industrial complex and US being major arms suppliers to the different countries particularly which are driven into manufactured conflicts to boost arms sale.
ОтветитьJust remember what Kissinger said: it is dangerous to be an enemy of the US but to be a friend is fatal. No friends or enemies only mutual interests determine international relations
ОтветитьThe backlash is against USA’s hegemony where wealth accumulated within 2% of the
Mega rich , whilst the masses have their purchasing power decrease inthe last 30 years.
On top of that , the global south hedges against the weaponized US Dollar and increasing sanctions and technology wars
The so-called white liberal world is made up of predictors. And Fareed suggests India should join the that pack. He forgets that India Will not be fully accepted as a pack member, because if India becomes an economic power, together with China, they could seriously pose a challenge to the western hegemony.
ОтветитьAmerica is Chikening out of "FREE TRADE"
ОтветитьAmerican Propaganda
ОтветитьAmerica should mind its own business
ОтветитьTrump and Musk will make a DEAL with China. And India will be left High and dry.
ОтветитьAsking a CNN host to talk to about democracy is certainly the biggest laughing stock
ОтветитьToday, China has better technology than America has. Today, more international STEM patents are registered in China than America and Europe. China produces 3 X more STEM postgraduates than America. To check their quality, visit any top American STEM university to learn that the Chinese are beating their classmates. So, if India needs future technologies, it should look at China and not America.
ОтветитьChina and India have been neighbours and civilizational states for 4000 years and have never fought wars ( EXCEPT 1962). India should form a NATO-like military alliance with Russia and China and, in the process, settle its borders with China, which it will gladly do. This will also bring Pakistan to Heal and make the 21st century genuinely Asian.
India should remember Kisingar's famous quote: "IT IS DANGEROUS TO BE AN ENEMY OF AMERICA, BUT IT IS FATEL TO BE ITS FRIEND.
Like a typical expat, Fareed Zakaria looks at the Subcontinent through the prism/period when he left the region.
ОтветитьHe thinks too highly of US and himself
ОтветитьWe should all stay away from each others borders and backyards, there's no reason to have warships in SCS or Gulf of Mexico unless it's a barbecue and you're invited, "PEACE ON EARTH" ✌️✌️
ОтветитьNow this century is Asian century . The western have known well particularly if big country gathers mean huge power the thing is they try separate and adversary each others in Asian so compromising is important

ОтветитьIndian people love to listen to this guy, but remember he is an American and always on U.S. side, he tries to talk out Indian to lien on western countries.
ОтветитьWith due respect to the speaker, I suspect the speaker is trying to please and to assist the powerful media in order to project the false image that the essence of DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS STILL EXIST IN THE WEST!
Mr Zakaria is grossly MISTAKEN!
Thank you!
I really appreciate your efforts! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
ОтветитьHe is unable to break out of his genetic instincts.
ОтветитьDoes he consider Islamic nation round the Globe are Democracies ?
ОтветитьWish the speaker a good discovery of India. Best of luck with your studies. Everyone is a beginner some time.
ОтветитьGreat. India. India 🇮🇳
ОтветитьAmerica real evils
ОтветитьThe world is always changing! Almost all Asian countries, including India and China, have a deep history, and Asia as a whole was a center of knowledge, a center of power, etc. in the distant past before the discovery of the New World. We all need to understand that "everything in the world is definitely changing in the right direction, but slowly and steadily."
Apparently, we do not need to be fragmented or divided as Asia blossoms again in many ways, because if Asia can blossom as a single unit while preserving our diverse identities in the context of “unity in diversity”, then in the future, all of humanity will benefit. All countries in Asia are independent, sovereign nations, with separate seats in the United Nations. So, we all must respect our diversity while working together on the same platform for the betterment of humankind.
So, India and China can work together with mutual understanding rather than being enemies because that is the need of this century. Some external elements may come in the form of friends to destroy it, so India and China need to understand it carefully. The population of India and China together exceeds 2.8 billion, so this number is huge and powerful when compared to the global population.
Hence, India and China do not need to be enemies, but they can be friends while securing their differences or diversities. Honestly, all countries, big and small, can work together and secure their different identities if everyone is honest/genuine/open/frank in all aspects!
Indians like to talk...yak all days...brag all days... unsincere... spending unproductive times in useless talk shows, forums... gossippings
