I first dabbled in slow jigging years ago after watching someone do it on a charter boat — while I looked on from my wheelchair. I gave it a go, but in the early days, I found traditional methods better suited to where I was physically, both in the chair and fresh on my new legs.

But confidence is king — and over the last 3–4 years, slow jigging has slowly crept back in. Now, it’s not just a method I enjoy — it’s my go-to style of fishing, and my good mate John is just as hooked. Between rod builds, jig testing, and chasing bites, it’s become more than a method… it’s a passion.
