Julie, I live in an old house that has plaster walls. Do you know know if I could have this faux shiplap treatment done in an old house like this? Because these walls limit what you can do so much. I really can’t even hang a picture where I want to, much less a shelf or mirror. You have taken on so many remodeling projects I thought you might be able to give me some insight into it. This bathroom looks great now. You did wonderful!

I agree the shiplap really did make a big difference in that bathroom. I think it is my favorite thing you did but the next favorite is that big long brown Shelf. I also like no door on the little closet thing because with boys it would be much easier for them to get stuff in and out. And maybe for all of us I wouldn't want a door on it.. we build a log house I lived in Wisconsin and I know that anticipation of getting to move in is just seems like forever. You have it so easy across the pond. We have hundred and one regulations when it comes to bathrooms. They also have to be entirely waterproofed and preferably done by certified professional. This looks great, but could never have anything like this.

I love the look of the shower curtain hanging from the ceiling, but I think it would look more cohesive if you added a second rod and curtain to the left side.

Sanding and Kilz or Zinzer will preserve you paint job on the cabinets longer.
I tried that and the paint job lasted very very long with no chips.
