Hangar 9 J-3 Cub 10cc

I’m 60 years old and the full scale J-3 Cub has been my all time favorite airplane. I’m too tall, and too stiff from old injuries, to climb in and out of one though😕

I’ve been considering starting R/C flying as a hobby for when I retire in a few years. I want a plane that could serve as a trainer and as well as one for regular daily flying… a one and done sort of aircraft. We plan on downsizing during retirement and I won’t have the extra space to store multiple models. Can anyone advise if this particular airplane would be suitable for dual purpose as a trainer and weekend flyer after I’ve become a proficient pilot?

I pick up a cub 48"fs with 6or 7 foot wing from a old timer IT FLY ON PIN BORD. back in the day. 1 how old do you think this cub could be . 2 when did thay start making this plane. this one looks like it came out of the box today . 3 Good fin or no. Thank you for any help

Who doesn't like a classic yellow Cub? We have all had one in our hangar at some point if you have been in the hobby long enough. I can't wait to see you guys fly the Clipped-wing version!

Please bring back the 1/4 scale birds!! 1/4 scale Cub with the Saito 41TS would be amazing. The T-craft. The Beaver.

She's quite the Looker. And the PNP has the 70amp Avian lite power package. Which has been pretty much bulletproof in all of my RC planes.
