If they are really a friend they should understand your situation and not expect you to buy a whole new grocery order to have onhand just incase they might want it. Having a small amount of coffee creamer or milk and sweetener or sugar would be easy to have there. Some other basics... for example: my daily brrakfast is toast with PB and a cup of tea...so when i go to visit my friend she always makes sure she has brrad and PB (which she doesnt eat) and some milk for my tea ( which she doesn't use) we typically do a small grocery shop after discussing what meals we will make while i am there.

Outside of that...i dont feel your friend should REQUIRE you to stock anything
