Rhonda, first of all, I'm so glad you're on the mend! That looked scary! Thanks for sharing this on the Airstream, I had no idea just how nice they are!!💗
ОтветитьIt was great meeting both of you this morning! Btw-thanks for the eggs! Brownies are baking now! 😊 So glad you are recovering Rhonda!
ОтветитьSo glad to see you’re feeling better and looking so well, Rhonda. If you guys are headed toward New England, consider a day trip over to Nantucket. We have some fantastic bike trails here.
ОтветитьDottie and I are so glad to hear you are on the mend after that nasty fall, Rhonda! Stay safe!
ОтветитьGlad to see your doing well after the bike crash! Because of your videos, we visited London Bridge, did a little SUP on the lake, went the SARA Park, hiked the slot canyon, and stayed a little after dark to watch fireworks from the event out there.
ОтветитьReady for adventures. Can’t wait.👍
ОтветитьSo glad Rhonda is doing better. Although we will never stop moving, those falls when you are in your 50’s shut you down temporarily. We know you will be glad to get back on your bike. We were lucky enough to tour the Airstream factory a couple years back, their product is second to none. We love following your adventures, and your active lifestyle. Continuing to move keeps us young.
ОтветитьHi guys! Great video. We always wondered what the hype was about Airstreams. Now we know - pretty impressive. Glad we found your channel. We are at the Grand Design Quartzsite rally too and saw your shirt with the channel.
ОтветитьVery interesting. My sister has a 25 foot AS but it’s a lot different. Their AS feels very tight.
ОтветитьGlad you are doing better and liked the tour of the Airstream.
ОтветитьVery nice airstream but VERY Complex and expensive.
You can buy 4 of your trailers for one of his. Is it nice? Absolutely! But for me at my stage of life, I want simple so the average place can work on it.
They are so expensive because people will pay for it.
So if it's 100 degrees in the airstream, 105 outside and he can open the window to the outside and cool it to 70? 🤔
I actually rented one and it does tow well. It's tight inside (I rented a 25 foot one) when compared to our Grand Design 22 foot with a slide.
If you want to worry an airstream owner, say the word hail....
They also leak quite a bit. If you do decide to get one make sure it has a clean bill of health for leaks and the 2020+ have composite flooring.
Thanks for the video! Stay safe. Bill in Utah
The Airstream is such an iconic symbol of the American RVing experience and so thankful you were able to share the tour of your friends rig. I was not expecting half of what you highlighted.! It is an investment and Rhonda’s point about them holding value is a good one. Thankful you’re on the mend and the trip back East is still on track. Don’t forget we still want some “Cooking with Stan” videos soon! 😉
ОтветитьOk we weren’t sure what the hype was about the airstream but now we know why wow!!! These are pretty amazing!!!!! Now we now why they cost so much too 🤣 Thanks for sharing , friends! 😁
ОтветитьI am so sorry for your painful experience. I was just able to watch this video and I am sure you have fully recovered. But I will be praying for your future to be filled with great safe adventures . Blessings
ОтветитьRhonda! You take care lady! You are so gutsy with your bike it makes me cringe when I see you flying down those paths!
ОтветитьWife and I bought a 25 footer in 2000. We just ordered a new 30 Foot Classic a few months ago. We looked at the 33 footer, but we preferred the open space in front of the reclining couch over the layout of the 33 footer since it is just my wife and I. We did love the rear bathroom in the 33 footer though. If we were larger people we would have gone for the 33 footer instead.
ОтветитьWhile it makes for a great story, Wally Byam the founder of Airstream wasn’t an Aeronautical Engineer. He had a degree in history from Stanford. He did work in the aircraft industry for a short time during WWII helping Curtis Wright with Aluminum manufacturing techniques.
The real story is that Byam worked for Hawley Bowlus (an aircraft designer) selling riveted aluminum travel trailers in the mid 1930s. Byam left Bowlus and started producing his own riveted aluminum travel trailers under the Airstream name in 1936. The rest as they say is history.
Thank you for the tour. We have a "new to us" 2018 33FB & my husband was smitten the moment he stepped inside. We're not full time yet, but hoping my husband gets onboard soon. There is sticker shock & I'm the most frugal woman on the planet, but I also go for quality. We had instant equity with our purchase & I never go new. Our 2018 is immaculate & already feels like home. Piper & Jackson, our pups, hope to meet you on the road soon
ОтветитьAppreciate this vid; Have always been a fan of Airstream. I love them; I truly wanted the Flying Cloud 25 TB has 8.1 ft interior wall to wall. But we would of had to finance $55k on top of $45k I would had put down. So owning our 2022 Imagine 22mle $38k out the door, purchased outright. Makes big sense lol Thankfully wife keeps me humble🌅
