Mr Rodriguez i hope you can help me with my issue with the waste ink ... when the initial startup begins and the head moves over the waste pad it will spray the ink out of small hole in waste pad.. ink sprays everywhere. i have cleaned the head, wiper, suctioned the waste tube ... At my wits end

NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! - We should all be PISSED at Epson. You as a company put something in place to ensure we keep buying more Epson printers. And these keys aren't even lifetime keys wtf. I have to keep buying keys? So they're in on it to! I need to start a boycott page against Epson. The fact this waste ink is dependent upon how many times you do a print head cleaning and not actually something wrong with the printer is bull shit. What if every electronic device was programmed to do this. What if your car is programmed for the engine to shut down at 200k miles? What if your phone is programmed to malfunction after so many calls? If we allow Epson to get away with this we're essentially telling all manufacturers this type of behavior is allowable for all companies. BOYCOTT EPSON!

I tried Epson adjustment program for RX585 but I get connection error message (USB connection), when I try with WIC the connection is OK, how can I use Epson adjustement program?

Hey Joe, instead of re-routing the waste in via tubes to an external reservoir, wouldn't it just be a lot easier to replace the waste ink pads? How hard can that be? Does somebody sell them?

Bought Epson ET-2720 Eco-Print It does have a removable waste ink box, which does not have a chip. This model is listed and detected by the Wic Reset application, although I have no reason to use it as yet, my box states 25% full. Epson shows a firmware update is available for my printer model. No information as to what it does, or improves. My worry is that it may prevent the Wic Reset utility from working, so am reluctant to install this firmware update, as printer is working fine.

When checking the counter, I get two readings. One is 62% and the second one is 0.06%. What does each one mean? Thanks...

What about if someone like me don’t use pc or iMac ! Only phone or iPad Pro can I do this on the iPad?

I have a EPSON Artisan 810, I have used the WIC before and it worked. I purchased it again and given a new key, but before installing the new key my printers screen is/was blinking and it indicates that "The ink pads are at the end of their service life..." I have unplugged the power cord for 15 minutes and I have unplugged html cord as well in hopes that it would reset itself but that doesn't work. And the new key that I purchased won't work it appears it won't communicate with the printer I get an error msg. is it because of error reading I am seeing on the printer's screen as I previously mentioned?

I use Epson ET-2850. Ink counter error. "Contact Epson." I spent about an hour on the phone with Epson being transferred from one agent to another. "You have to take the printer to an authorized agent." So I watched Jose's video.

I replaced the waste ink container and used the promo code chiplessjoe. The ET-2850 is back up and running without taking it to an "authorized dealer."

All of the printer manufacturers simply want us to spend money on a new printer because of planned obsolesce. Thanks, Jose!

Genius! Great advice! I bought the reset key (option two) and it worked and was easy despite me in the US and it a UK company. I had already changed out the ink pad. Other key companies were shady and complicated. With a Mac make sure you go to settings, privacy and security, and allow the download.

I replaced my maintenance box and bought new key from ink chip, downloaded their program and it's not recognizing my printer. I have been in touch with their support but it's not been very helpful. Any idea why their reset program isn't recognizing my printer? I have the ecotank 2803

For me, the second method works easiest. No need to connect USB...it works over the wireless network.

I used the WIC to check my my printers usage and it says ok (65% and 8%) but my printer just doesn't want to print black... multiple cleaning and even cleaned the heads with a solution twice... am really loosing hope here. Warranty is finished and and am really feeling like I am out of options :( Any suggestions?

just bought a reset code from inkchip. Great advice and I really appreciate your expertise . I revived my Epson R2000 and it prints like the day I bought it. I also installed an external waste collection bottle and noticed the waste ink coming out is thick. Is this normal?
