Los malditos Norteamericanos invaden, asesinan, exterminan con sus Guerras, Bombas Nucleares e Invasiónes. Tiene que llegar a fondo como la antigua Babilonia por todas sus barbaries desde los siglos 19, 20 y 21

This is the BEST fella that's described the nightmare they all went thru 😢

Some were only turned 18, Can you imagine bobbing up and down the water just praying and hoping that the sharks just swam by you or just bumped you out of curiosity!

Hearing grown men scream like newborns as the sharks latch on and take you from the groups and start ripping you from limb to limb 😳😩

Not just the mental cruelty of the sharks swimming underneath you and between you but you had the sun, the sea salt, no food, no drink, Trauma from the experience ect ect, and so fourth, thinking will they Ever be found! It's alot to deal with and some men just couldn't do it, didn't mKe them less of a man, I can only sit here and think about what they went thru, I'll never know what it feels like, it's stuff of only nightmares 😮💔

El pacífico está plagado de tiburones que en este caso en su mayoría tiburones de arrecife (en especial de punta negra) van en grupos a atacar y en especial por la noche. Vi un documental que hablaba de ello y se hizo un experimento.

I worked for a dentist at the front desk and a new patient walked into the office. He began talking about himself and he asked if I knew about the Indianapolis. He continued his story as he was a survivor. It was quite an experience to hear.

the people that were high command at Guam and Leyte were constantly very assumable. In the book, "In Harms Way" it tells us that the person in charge of ships docking put the USS Indianapolis as 'delayed arrival' because he assumed that the ships route was changed. keep in mind that they were also busy in Okinawa at the time so the ships original route and destination could've changed. Plus there was a bit of missing reports and miscommunication. This also could've been because McVay (the ships captain) also requested anti-air exercise at Guam and Leyte which led to confusion. An addition to that, there was no proper distress signal sent out for Leyte to receive. Mainly because the first communication/ radio shack was destroyed because it was struck by two torpedoes on the starboard side. the second radio shack was nearly submerged in water because of the 45 degree tilt the ship was on. Woods (in charge of radio communications) ordered his men to abandon the radio shack because he couldn't risk his men getting stuck in the shack and trapped by the water and drowning. The USS Indianapolis took 12 minutes entirely to sink. So, if you're stuck after this video wondering "why did they not notice the ship returning?" or "how did they not get the SOS signal?" its because of the incompetence of the high command at the docking. They've done this pretty much the whole war, they'd always assume that a ship change their route or is delayed arrival. They didn't get a proper SOS signal because of the damage already done and scarce time they had left.
-please correct me if i'm wrong in any parts. i am studying this for a school project and would love some feedback.
thank you for taking your time to read this!

As if it weren’t terrifying enough to be thrown into deep, dark, cold water in the middle of nowhere, you’re injured from giant torpedos blowing apart your ship with flying metal shrapnel, but you also have oil/gasoline all over your face and in your mucus membranes burning it, and saltwater in your wounds… listening to the screams of men being ripped apart by sharks… FOR DAYS, while being tired, starving and dehydrated, sunburned. I just can’t imagine a more horrifying way to die. Jesus Christ.

The SOS distress signals were DELIBERATELY ignored because of the top-secret nature of the Indianapolis and her mission. Think about it. It's terribly unfortunate but their practical existence was disavowed by the he govt because of what their cargo had consisted of.

The zig-zag pattern thing is completely bogus. The problem was a heavy cruiser out on its own without any destroyer escorts. By that point of the war every Navy knew that just zig-zagging didn't deter submarines which is why escorts with ASW capabilities nearly always accompanied large ships (and still do). If the Navy really wanted to court-martial someone it should have been the Admiral who signed orders for a heavy cruiser to go on its own in the Pacific during wartime AND with a lot of new recruits on board after a lot of crew turnover.

FUN FACT: it's not that the threats wasn't taken seriously, the uss Indianapolis was a top secret mission they didn't even give them a transport. The US sacrificed them to keep that bomb a secret. And then that put that captain on trial as if this was his fault
