Man, even in the restaurant I was rooting for him to just give up. Very sad ending, I think Waj was just manipulated.

This is a masterpiece of black comedy and I feel far too many people see it as only a funny film. It’s a devastatingly sobering film about indoctrination and ignorance.

A very sad scene

It's funny how a film so saturated with jokes and absurdly hilarious scenarios suddenly gets so real like this. The dumbest guy was not smart enough to lie to himself, and it ironically causes reality to start to set in for Omar and some of the others

This is such a brilliant amazing achievement of this film - the fact that they made a joke, that they’d set up before, that had a brilliant payoff, and yet also has such a pure and beautiful emotional and moral truth at the heart of it.

This scene shows how people who think they're doing right will justify anything, including lying and manipulation to incorrectly propagate what is actually wrong. This scene in of itself symbolizes what terrorists are actually about. These kids were born and raised in England, which has a thriving and free to practice Muslim population, but still want to commit terror against their own homeland for the idea of being a badass martyr when in reality they were fools-- they were not suppressed, they were not subjugated, they were not oppressed at all, but sought glory in the wrong ways.

Why not join the peace corps if they really wanted to symbolize Islam, and what it really means to be a Muslim.
