I'm glad someone agrees about Forbidden West. I loved the first game but just didn't like the direction they took it after that. I was wondering if I was the only one for a while lol

No offense to the fans of these games, but ive always been uninterested in the cinematic approach to modern "action games", makes it more of a "movie with a bit of game" experience. Why add subpar action gameplay if its just gonna be interrupted by scripted sequences or many cutscenes broken down between gameplay segments which screws up pacing , said game wouldve been better off going the telltale approach or being just a movie altogether.

He had a point till he said Red Dead Redemption 2, that's his loss.

Sean didn't say he hated anything else about RDR2, just that it's long. It's takes like 5 months on a casual playthrough to complete the story alone, plus all the secrets and collectibles. RDR2 is $70CAD. They give a lot for just that much money.

Rdr2 is the most overrated game of all time, I grew watching westerns with my grandpa and the story just isn't good, I'd agrue RD1 was better, story wise, RD2 story was so shallow, and I can't have any sympathy for a character dieing when I spent the the whole game murdering people, it's just like I died and I wouldn't be sad if I died, but thats different if someone like joel who you can't controll their actions died. The exploration isn't that entertaining either, it's just real life you'd be better off going outside and seeing all that for yourself then a video game, something like cyberpunk or god of war is cool because you don't get to exprience that in the real world. An yeah it is wayy to long your just begging for the story to end by the time you get little over half way through, your like we get Dutch is the bad guy and were against him let go rob some other stuff so we can finish this game already.

never understood people complaining about media being long. what like you're mad there's just more content to enjoy? games and shows and stuff aren't played just for the ending, they're played for the story along the way. What's the problem with the story being longer if the stories still good and the gameplay's still fun.

Might as well play fighting games. 15 mins and your done.

I agree with the horizon one, I finished it but only because I had to justify paying for it, I have the exact same complaints of that game as I did for zero dawn, it is just really fucking boring, the flying mount was disappointingly disgustingly slow, should have been like 5x faster, brining shores was extremely shit, final boss fight though is some of the greatest video game section I’ve ever experienced, combat was not great in both games, I hated how much bigger the weapon wheel was in forbidden west, made it feel more arcadey, lot more shit that it did wrong but all in all, zero dawn and forbidden west are just disappointing

Xenoblade is understandable escepcially if you are the type to 100% the video game because my golly gee wizzz batman xenoblade 2 100% is a pain in the butt.

having a game too big and seemingly endless can be daunting and tedious, i think the games that perfected it is tears of the kingdom, where there is literally non stop content but you can beat the game whenever you like at your pace without feeling entirely left out

its not that he doesnt like the games, its that he doesnt have time to enjoy it like we do. The games he mentioned have long ass play times. I beat rdr2, beat the epilogue and did a new playthrough and Im still finding details I missed the first time, even after I put 400 hours into it.

I played Last of Us p1 for about three hours and gave up. Played Persona 4 up to the midway point and stopped there… sometimes games just don’t stick with you

Xenoblade Chronicles (3D for the New 3DS) was interesting, as it was quite the adventure.

RDR2 is overrated for sure.

It just gets boring imo. Yeah there's story content, but there is no way near enough variety of gameplay mechanics imo.

The game feels like a chore to play, the experience is a bit better on MNK on PC over the roller but still. meh.

Man and knowing Jack he would have really loved Red Dead if he enjoyed God of War as much as he did. Oh well I don't blame him I have the same problems with games but it's mainly with games I've already played lots of times pr games that differ from my fav type of game
