Artist Statement:
‘Pleiadian Remix: Pop Cherry Propaganda’ - is a new media work in a series of seven one minute shorts. The series features international women’s rights activists from Persia, Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. The work is aimed at amplifying messages from the Woman, Life, Freedom movement: that women’s rights are human rights - and that the rights of women are at the center of life and liberty - across the globe. In the Greek myth, turning the seven sisters into stars is their only chance for escaping sexual violence. Their loss of life and gain of something nearly eternal, became our open star cluster the Pleiades - which is in our own Milky Way galaxy inside the constellation Taurus, which is in turn ruled by Venus, the Goddess of Love. Pleiadians, as an alien species, are known for their concern for our planet’s future and for the peace of our world. Pleiadian starseeds purportedly incarnate here on Earth in human form as mediums and guides.
