Is this a possible or definite pilot deviation?
ОтветитьYou guys need to stop with the bullshit. You've got tons of people actually thinking that this shit was a real life/real world incident. First of all, an aircraft isn't going to continue its approach if they're unable to make contact with the approach tower. That's number 1. Number 2... if... IF... THIS WAS REAL... the ATC isn't going to use the verbiage... "Just give me a call on the tower phone, 'ADVICE'... when ready to copy the number." He actually meant "ADVISE" NOT ADVICE!
Hints the reason why the "role-playing" member continued with his final approach without clearance, and responded "What we aaaarrreeee down. Yeah I was talking the whole time." Likely because he was probably linked into the wrong stream and thought he was communicating with this asshat.
And uuggghhhh... the pilot wouldn't be calling the tower... first of all. That's what.... number 3. Number 4... the correct and proper verbiage would've been, "Jetspeed 529, POSSIBLE PILOT DEVIATION... Advise when ready, I have a number for you to call." End quote.
The pilot isn't going to be calling the tower "DIRECTLY", but they'll be calling the ATC Facility instead. Not the tower. Furthermore, NO PILOT EVER... EVER EVER EVER WANTS TO HEAR THOSE WORDS... "POSSIBLE PILOT DEVIATION... I HAVE A NUMBER FOR YOU TO CALL."
Although pilots are supposed to call that number when their flight is over, but most don't usually make that their first phone call and/or first communication. Oftentimes, if a pilot is unsure of what they may or may not have done... they may call their company, and/or their company union rep, maybe even a lawyer first. Because if you've messed up that badly, where you've been instructed to call the ATC Facility... you can be your ass that there's going to be some legal ramifications behind this. This is serious business and the FAA will definitely be involved.
I guess the individual who posted this is doing what I like to call "click-bating." They make up shit just for views and traffic to their channel. The biggest giveaway, in my opinion, was the poor audio quality as the ATC was transmitting (like he was in the bathroom) smh, the dialog, the incorrect verbiage, the "role-players" response to the ridiculous transmission and finally... the unprofessional behavior towers the end. Reprimanding the pilot over the air. That was unnecessary. Thus confirming the bogus audio clip. This was more like a clip from Microsoft Flight Sim or X-Plane with someone playing ATC because they're a registered vatsim member.
I'm sure the planes and towers recorders will confirm the correct situation one way or the other.
ОтветитьSince there was a tower operator i suspect that the tower wss in control. The pilot says he was talking all the time, but he doesnt say to whom. I would know who he was talking to 'cause it obviously NOT the tower
ОтветитьSend him for Random!😅
ОтветитьHe was talking to ghosts
Ответить“I was talking the whole time” to fucking who?! Talking and not receiving an answer doesn’t just mean do what ever the fuck you want… to think this guys a commercial pilot. We get dip shits like that far too often. The system is broken
ОтветитьI know it's a lot to ask, but it would be cool to see the frequencies that they're chatting on. I'm assuming in this one the controller switched to the CTAF frequency to get a hold of the plane. If the pilot checked the ATIS frequency before entering the airspace, it should have told him when the tower is operating
ОтветитьWhen unreachable, why tower is not able to broadcast on multiple frequencies? Or all frequencies? We have the technology hopefully these days.
ОтветитьBozeman’s pretty empty tbh. No biggie
ОтветитьWhat? We are down? Hmmm... imagine to fly with this pilot
ОтветитьFake Audio for ATC. Absolutely fake. That's somebody on an audio mixer that's being overdriven with a touch of reverb behind it. The audio from the plane is also questionable. Maybe the Creator ran the audio through Adobe Audition.
Ответить5-2-9 not 529 🤣
ОтветитьPull his ticket. This guy didn't hear "clear to land" and landed. He played a game and clearly hadn't set his transponder correctly. Totally not OK for someone flying ATP to pull that crap.
ОтветитьIs it possible the pilot thought he was at an uncontrolled airport and he announced his position while on approach on a wrong frequency? Then he heard the tower when he switched frequencies after landing?
ОтветитьYou forget about your light gun cowboy? You’d rather break balls I guess.
ОтветитьWhat is this "be ready for a number" I keep hearing on all these videos. Do they call a number to get a scolding ?
ОтветитьIt is the pilots responsibility to know and use the proper frequencies. At airfields where there is no ATC you tell those in the area what you're doing and where you are in the circuit. But this airport did have ATC and the pilot should have made himself aware of this. The pilot screwed up and has no defense
ОтветитьDid he really say “are we down?”
How? Was he asleep?
A good controller would have issued the landing clearance in the blind so that it was at least issued. This controller is a Blue Falcon, there always has to be one.
ОтветитьObviously he didn't think it was uncontrolled (as Bozeman sometimes is) if he was "talking the whole time".
Ответить"Huh, tower's not responding to anything i say. Maybe he's shy, i'll just tell him what i'm going to do." <continues to broadcast on the wrong frequency>
ОтветитьReminds me of that joke where the old lady says to the other old lady driving: you just ran 3 stop signs!! And the old lady driving said: 'Oh! Am I driving?? '
😂😂😂
He might have been on unicom but every pilot has to have a book that gives all the information about an airport. He has to have this book its required by law. The pilot should have had the correct frequency to contact and the times. I suppose he might have misread the part about the airport frequencies, but that's on him.
ОтветитьHummm
Ответить"oh shit babe, i thought i texted you back"
ОтветитьThat last "go ahead" came from the soul
ОтветитьAi voice 👎
ОтветитьI think this is a recording from someones flight sim game. No way that's real audio, or even AI
ОтветитьThis is one thing I am with revamping in ATC. Why the fuck are we still using AM radio band for this. You can't speak both ways at the same time you cancel each other out. Bring Starlink or something better.
ОтветитьIt makes you wonder....!!!!!!???
ОтветитьFix the communication system this CB radio/ walkie-talkie level technology has got to be updated.
ОтветитьJet speed 529….??? you just landed without a clearance!
Pilot…..”What… We’re down? “
To co-pilot… “Frank…..wake up… we’re back!”
Wonder what is on the end of those phone numbers 🫤 Nothing good, probably.
ОтветитьWhat on earth was the "we are...down?" comment; did he not know if he was still in air or not???
Ответить@dcorman there are a number of smaller airports that don't have controllers on duty ever. Others dint have controllers during some hours. The book I mentioned lists the times controllers are "up". If no controller you treat approach/take off the same as you would an uncontrolled airport. However, in the example cited in this video, the controllers was there, it was the pilot that was on the wrong freq
ОтветитьAll those landings with 'convenient' radio problems that goes away as soon as the pilot does whatever he wants should get the plane declared 'not air worthy' until the 'problem' is fixed.
ОтветитьThats a pissed controller!
ОтветитьIt's like GTA 😂
ОтветитьPer Airnav, Bozeman is not continuously attended, so he probably thought it was uncontrolled and was calling out his approach/pattern on CTAF. That said, you'd think the tower would monitor CTAF.
CTAF: 118.2
UNICOM: 122.95
Pilot did not say "What? we are down?" Maybe it was gibberish.
ОтветитьHE WAS ON FREQ WITH PREVIOUS CONTROLLER.
ОтветитьFvck, I never hit "send"
ОтветитьTired pilot -- muscle memory.
Ответить"We are down?" From a non pilot; is a real pilot supposed to say that? Given the fact that he just landed.
ОтветитьAgain. If you're gonna record your own audio, just don't post the video
Ответить"We are ... down?" sounded like the most stoned thing I've ever heard.
ОтветитьSo if he was on the wrong frequency, why all of a sudden as soon as he landed he popped up on the correct frequency? This doesn't pass the smell test.
Ответитьjetspeed just doing his thing😂
ОтветитьThat "Whaat we are down?" Has so much "But did we die?" Energy xD. like "Hey atleast we're still alive what you complaining about?"
Ответить
