Saw Starbenders last night in Kansas City opening for AIC, and while everyone was great I honestly couldn't stop watching Emily drum. Mesmerizing power!

I was lucky enough to see them open for Palaye Royale in Orlando last night and I got to meet Emily ! I was sure enough fangirling even though it was my first time hearing their music I was already in love with the band. I recommend you listen to them if you haven't already 🖤

Saw them in concert recently, and that's how I found out about them. Loved Emily moon because she was such a kick ass drummer! She threw her drum sticks into the crowd, and I caught a broken one, and I had a great time seeing them in concert. Keep up the amazing work, I've jammed out to your music in the car, bed, at work, and I've always enjoyed the music

Holy hell!!! How have I missed this band all these years? I DJ'd forty years ago as both an alt-rock club DJ and a college radio DJ. This was back in the heyday of Depeche Mode, The Smiths, Echo & TBM, Lords of the New Church, New Order, and on and on with hundreds of great 80's bands. I loved it all and had it all (yes, all) on vinyl. Any legit DJ in those days toted around their massive collections of vinyl gold. We also bought all of it, which amounted to between $30k - $50k in 80's money. I love it all. The alt-rock 80's era of genre-bending... A little stripped-down 70s metal a la Black Sabbath (Paranoid), a little 70's pop-tinged disco (aka dance-friendly Bee Gees, Earth Wind & Fire) and a lot of very sugary pop rock tunes at their core. That was the 80's alt-rock scene and it was glorious. Starbender is ripped right from this magical music era... and I just heard them for the first time last week. WTF??? And now, a female drummer that is a legit banger?! What is not to love about this band? Nothing... This band is one of those bands that makes music transcendent, rockin' and fun again, again and again. Here's to another 20 yrs of Starbender (I hope)
