I tend to mix Maxis match and alpha. I think they work well together and create a unique look, especially with my style veering somewhat more influenced by animesque aesthetics rather than realistic nowadays.

I wish we could like layer jackets/vests/coats over tops/shirts/blouses and they were not always attached to eachother. Or that you're just not letting your sim wear only a top, but they have like a blazer or a denim jacket over it

My style with sims is somewhere in between alpha and maxis match. Like I can’t use the maxis match hair because of the clay look but I’m colts with it when it comes to clothes. I also don’t go ultra realistic with skin details

Just so I understand for mods and CC is that I just download it to my EA folder and turn on add mods/cc in game options, restart game. Is that it? Am I missing anything else?

I downloaded eyes and they show up in create a sim but they don't show up in the game, what am I doing wrong here?
