What happened to Apple!? Here's why iOS 18.2 is BROKEN!

I have 14 pro and these are the issues I’m experiencing with iOS 18.2

1. Battery drains fast
2. Overheats
3. Apple Pay doesn’t work
4. Unable to download anything from App Store
5. Calendar- can’t add/delete, things are not appearing as they should
6. Sleep no longer tracks from phone or from watch to phone

Since Ios18 I get zero audible email alerts . Several updates and now Ios18.2 and still not fixed. No more iPhone for me

Apple have damaged their reputation beyond repair with a update making things worse not better , after 20 years time to leave them , they simply dont listen 😢

Apple software is really bad. They've really upped their game in the hardware but the software is sloppy and far behind competitors.

Not only is my iPhone glitchy, my AirPod pros barely freaking work now. If I type while connected to blue tooth the typing lags to the point where the audio stops and the phone freezes for 10 seconds. Safari I click on something and something else inches away on the screen gets clicked instead. Like what the actual crap… this isn’t an indie company. They need to stop releasing updates in large packages and release the bugs as they are fixed.

My phone just lost SIM Signals. I am not alone one of my friend also facing same problem. I reset all settings, hard restart, restart and what not except factory reset as I am scared of loosing data. When I insert any other company sim it works. My sim works in all other iPhones and android but don’t work in my own iPhone. I ultimately had to purchase eSIM and it started working. And I am not alone facing this, we are 2 under same roof. Any one else facing this in world? Is this a new bug? A virus?

Apple is done. It's alot easier to copy products than AI.

I used to be able to search and find any photo by typing in a date or month. Now to chance of finding anything

I just got an iPhone 15 pro max! It’s a piece of crap!!!I can’t send picture or videos and when using Siri to do hands free texting, the Siri “ circle” turns brown and say, “ something’s gone wrong! Please try again!” They refer to the brown spinning circle as “ the circle of death!”
DO NOT buy this piece of crap!

After installing the 18.2 beta thursday last week, i lost . 0.5 which remains non-recognized by the phone. iPhone 14 Pro Max

Mine works fine! at 18.2

Go android - love mine. FWIW... They are loading these phones with way too many functions. The majority of us want a basic phone, basic pic ability, and a browser.

18.2 has been great for me on 14 PM.

And yet these guys claim that Meta is good! A company that doesn’t respect people’s privacy and hasn’t released any successful HW at any scale. These folks are just chasing their profit in their juvenile propaganda machine.

Websites keep hanging and don’t load on safari after 18.2 on my iPhone 16 pro max, Anyone having this problem.

As a general rule, turn off automatic updates and wait for the bugs to be resolved before updating. I may be an outlier, but I like the new photos app. once I learned the quirks and features, it only took a few minutes to sort it out.

The control center looks like android now and I can’t swipe to close reliably anymore. Super annoying. Apple used to be so good at simplifying the UI but it seems they have lost this over time.

Why tf would I want ChatGPT on my phone???!! I seriously do not want it.

At least from a competitive perspective, they have a lot of leeway to experiment with UI changes. Android phones' UI is much worse and changes all the time. Android UI is just a nightmare and iOS was the perfect refuge until iOS 18.

These SW update are their way of forcing consumers to buy new iPhones.

"Steve" needs to be a verb again at Apple. I know a guy who thought he got Steved in the elevator once. Happily he didn;t get back to his office to find a pink slip, but he started looking for a new job.

It’s even affecting people with Androids and the message app between Apple-Android. It seems like Apple peaked and it’s just been downhill last several years.

The question is… are they using AI to do upgrades, causing all of the bugs? Or did they cut their QA team?

Agreed! They went backwards with the updates. I have the new iPhone 16 pro and it glitches out all the time. Very annoying. We need updates ASAP

Finally, someone saying it I really respect your guys’s opinions. Also no one‘s talking about the fact that iPhone is unusable indirect sunlight or hot weather. I was just in Cabo San Lucas with my family. I couldn’t even use my phone and direct sunlight cause it got too hot and wouldn’t work and I couldn’t even See my phone screen because it was so dark. This is not a iPhone 15 Pro Max I feel like I have a Fisher-Price phone made for children. Google and Samsung are gonna eat apple alive if they keep delivering such substandard customer experiences @apple @samsung

And then you ring them again and while you are ringing them your phone call that you made early rings their phone from you while you are talking to them .
And then it doesn’t work well with other software and then your work colleagues show you their cheap $300 phone showing up your phone and you get angry because apple software and operating system was the reason apple was better and now it’s failing them and us

The Photos App and other apps are trying to do too much.

I've been telling them for years with the feedback app that Apple dictation randomly turns off with an external microphone connected. In fact when you use it for a few hours even without an external microphone connected, it randomly turns off and becomes unresponsive. Still the problem persists
