ОтветитьIm about 1800-2000 rated player and i play jeromes gambit always
Its so exciting
How did you get to see Mr. Belvedere naked?
ОтветитьMajor camera upgrade!
ОтветитьAyo shouts out to Michael yang
ОтветитьThere's ONE master game in lichess database for the Jerome Gambit. In it, black declines the sacrifice with Ke7. The comment thread is comedy gold.
ОтветитьHe played C3 and was PO'd (C-3PO from starwars) that he couldnt play rook on 2 to D 2 (R2D2 star wars robot). Kinda a stretch on the last line but chess jokes are great!
Ответить"Tal was short, and Short is tall, and ..."
I can't remember the rest 😭😭😭
For the jerome
Ответитьintuitively i would defend with Ng6, d6, Nf6 and I have evavuated the king way to often like that with e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Nc3 Nf6 Bc4 Nxe4 Nxe4 Bxf7+ nonsense...
but I thought that the d4 e4 f4 pawn formation may be too much for the pony on f6. too slow appearantly.
Come for the chess, stay for the jokes.
ОтветитьLaShawn variation
ОтветитьWouldn't best mathematician/chessplayer be Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, instead of that Paxton-guy? If MVL doesn't count for some reason, then how about GM Mauricio Flores Rios?
ОтветитьI thought the most famous mathematician chess player was Lasker
ОтветитьEven that guy who understands every joke didn't understand these ones my dear
ОтветитьAman also played Jerome Declined (Kf8 after Bxf7+), but I think that was against roofus/doofus.
ОтветитьAman has amazing series of videos with him playing the Jerome Gambit. Thanks for the fun lecture! :)
Ответитьall of this is hilarious! 😀
ОтветитьI’ve got two Andrew Jiangs, one for each of ya
Ответитьhi
ОтветитьIs the Jerome making the rounds again ?
ОтветитьWhy do they call it an unsound opening? I can hear everything Ben says just fine.
ОтветитьHoney! Honey! another grandmaster has validated the Jerome. I told you it was good!
ОтветитьAman is my fave, even after he got normal hair.
ОтветитьFirst played in the game, “The truth vs it hurts”. 😂
ОтветитьI am not the favorite child ,truth hurts 😭
Ответить"Who's the best chess player who's a mathematician, and who's the best mathematician who's a chess player" I thought Ben was going to say John Nunn
ОтветитьThis is exactly what Jerome would've wanted
ОтветитьThanks a lot to GM Ben and Karen, it was a pleasure E-meeting you and seeing the lecture! Go Jerome!
ОтветитьI like the pop-up that showed up: "Jerome Gambit. Save?" Implying it can be saved.
ОтветитьRice gambit lecture when?
ОтветитьFor Jerome
Ответить4. B4!
ОтветитьYeah im planning on publishing a book about how to win a queen up.
ОтветитьWatching Ben in 4k is glorious go Ben!
ОтветитьThis was first played in the game "The Truth vs It Hurts" 😂👍
ОтветитьGrandmaster Gambit sure was prolific! Dozens of openings named after him and he kept on innovating! Commendable 😎
ОтветитьHas aman reacted to this on stream yet anyone ?
ОтветитьJerome sounds like a cool dude. Evan on the other hand? Not so much.
Ответить🎶"Now Jerome"🎶
Ответитьoh man i know this jerome gambit site... i think he even has a game there where he wins againt Anatoly Kapov, although it's a dfferent Anatoly Karpov from who you think xD
ОтветитьGo, Ben!
ОтветитьR2D2
ОтветитьFirst I heard of the Jerome Gambit was from Ben's stream years ago telling the story about his brother!
ОтветитьI'll just stick with the Evans Gambit. Thanks.
Ответитьwhats the refutation ?
ОтветитьThe issue with the Jerome is that the diagonal a2-g8 is weak for black, but there is no light-squared bishop for white to exploit that weakness. Also, sacking the only two pieces that are developed means there's only a queen trying to fork things.
ОтветитьIt's still the city of brotherly love, but as I tell visitors to the city, "Remember: Brothers can be a-holes."
