If you're going to report on Irish legends etc, have the decency to learn the pronunciations of words. Just ask an Irish person. It's a good video but pronunciations are just offensive
ОтветитьIt's not "twoffa".
It's pronounced "too-a-ha" (tuatha).
And it's "Dan-awwn", not "Day-non".
Seriously, I know you're an American, but could you try to get the pronunciations somewhat correct before you begin in earnest?
Tuatha de dannan or the tuatha de danu. People or tribe of anu(nakki). We Irish are a special people- decendants of gods
ОтветитьThe Celtic gods are so bias I wanted the fear bulge to win so bad
Ответить“They believed they descended from Noah”😂😂😂 that’s cute. 😁
ОтветитьSo does that mean my Irish ancestry & surname Dann, that was my grandfather's, does that mean we come from these people?
ОтветитьI've always wondered if the Irish origin myths come from the bronze age collapse. When the sea peoples set out to conquer the middle east.
ОтветитьMy ancestors of Oh Eochaidh, Dal Fiatach, dynasty of Ulaid, Hoy, Orkney Islands Hoy, Norse spelling Hoay, very much enjoyed this video, amazing looking back on the ancient wars of our people and now US citizen, how times have changed for the better, all the very best.
ОтветитьThat was epic! This video just happened to pop into my feed, and I thought it was going to be a list of Irish mythological creatures (because I didn't fully read the title, and I've been researching mythological creatures). I was in for a great surprise! Animations were great! The flow of the story was captivating. The only petty critique I can offer is the subtitles. The captions would show "Fear Bulg" instead of "Fir Bolg" (or "Firbolg" or "Fir Bholg" according to wikipedia) and other similar misspellings. But like I said, it is a petty critique. Great work! Definitely going to go down a rabbit hole on your channel!
ОтветитьI love the art style but mother of god the Gaelic pronunciations are horrendous lol
ОтветитьIncredible upload, the narration, art everything fantastic thank you ❤🌹🙏❤🌹🙏
ОтветитьThe gods arrived to Ireland might probably be the survivors of the population of the Silver age coming from north, where they lived before when the polar axis was straight and there was a springtime all over the world
ОтветитьReally enjoyed watching that! My son and I watched together. Very impressive graphics! He enjoys mythology but we never had really heard about tuatha de danaan. Love it!
So who was the common ancestors that tuatha and the firbolg shared??
Aren't the tuatha de danaan gods? How could they be so threatened by the faer bolg?
ОтветитьWhat about the Fomorians?
ОтветитьAny story with druid assassins is faded to be good.
ОтветитьThe Tuatha were returning to island at the start they weren’t invaders, the land was taken by the famorians, or the beast creatures that were in the land
ОтветитьThis video is amazing!!!, plus, the artwork speechless, it's really easy to learn this way and I've loved the way you narrated the whole history, thank you!
ОтветитьCeltic wasn't a belief irish were druids
ОтветитьDruids were pagan hunny celtic more of way doing things they never invaded any country's look up Newgrange irish dna
ОтветитьRubbish children story lol
ОтветитьThis isn't entirely accurate. Read the book " The Story of the irish Race" by Seumas MacManus
ОтветитьMy great grandmother would tell me these stories when I was young and thought they were so cool! I appreciate the effort that went into this video.
ОтветитьDo you guys know in rigved there is a story where river goddess danu's sons where exiled after a battle and send to west and those are referred as danavas (sons of river goddess danu) . If you don't believe me please search it it's fascinating how we all are connected from all those years ❤
ОтветитьThese stories should be taught more in our schools instead of the European stuff that is taught now.
Keep it local.
Many stories and local history was handed down through generation to generation from many a family in Ireland.
Our stories are shared with those in Scotland our kin Alba the land of the Irish.
Before being named Scotland especially the western and southern parts of Scotland belonged to the people's of the north northwest of Ireland the O'Neil O'Donnell ect of Niall of the nine hostages forebears and descendants ruled the land as Saint Colmcille Columba as he was also known was granted lands of Iona from his kinsman the king of the western isles. Colmcille being a great grand son of Niall of the nine hostages thus a Prince himself. 🤴
Built a monastery on the island along with in Derry-Lderry and on other locations throughout Ireland and Northern England and in Scotland.
These places became great places of education and preserved the customs traditions folklore and historical information and faith heped to bring back the faith back to the rest of the known world which was plunged into chaos during early the Dark ages.
If it wasn't for monks like Colmcille Columba and Columbanus Europe wouldn't be Europe today nor the world of Christianity itself.
I was told by an Irish historian and my mythology professor that Tuatha is pronounced “To-AH-day” or “To-AH-da” There’s no “th” sound like in English. Any native Irish people who can confirm or deny this?
ОтветитьRead on the Menapii. , Fermanagh Belgic tribe who ruled the seas and were of many places in Scotland still have, names attached to , the sea Goddess , named . Annan . And many other Places.
ОтветитьIt's 'too-ha day-dan-an'. Feckin AI, coming to our reality and taking all our jobs. DURKA DURRRRR!
ОтветитьEverything is perfect but the music, it's distracting..
ОтветитьThere was no country called Ireland later it was called in the 1st century as Scotia= Land of the Scots and the people were called the Scotti= Scots everything else was a monk drinking too much Guinness😉 the Romans and Greeks called it Scotia later was called Hibernia and later still Ireland 😂
ОтветитьI'm writing a trilogy about Tuatha De Danann. I'm working on it everyday.
ОтветитьFascinating I live in Ireland and to think these battles occurred in the past is amazing to me
ОтветитьThis video is false propaganda
ОтветитьThe people od Danu/Anu/Ana - thats probably us in Austria 😂. Danu is the river Danube (celtic local deities are always female) , we had the celtic kingdom of Noricum, but our roots are also much older. ( I live in Salzburg, which is quite near to Hallstatt for example) As for better weapons, iron from Noricum was renowned, and the Romans wanted it, but I used to think that that was after Hallstatt
ОтветитьThis art is awesome but I thought the ferbolg had one, one arm
ОтветитьIs the narrator of this video infographics or darkness prevails? Lol
ОтветитьGreat animation for our age old myths and legends
ОтветитьCeltic God's = Fallen Angels
ОтветитьSorry but the acythians werent a sea faring people, none of the diverse tribes of the saka were sea faring.cso im not sure where your getting these histpries from, im guess backward psuedo dark ages so called scholars and scribe hisorians lil who made up a whole lot of ba especially when it comes to the saka and the biblical ritisih israelist creative links to try to link themselves to the bible.

Anyone who is interested there is a man named gary wayne who speaks a lot about the tuatha
ОтветитьThe lore of Irish mythology is so interesting, there need to be well writen books or series made about it
Ответитьwe may use the same alpahbet as the Enlgish language but the sounds are different. I appreciate the effort of this video but as an irishman its hard to listen to you butcher the names and words.
ОтветитьIrish Mythology, you know there are Aninated movies that are related to Irish Mythology like The Secrets of Kells, Song of the Sea, and even Wolfwalkers
ОтветитьWhat do you mean, tracing their history to Noah?
Is this a Christian “history” page?
Great video! Foghlaim Gaeilge a labhairt and you will speak the language of legends!
ОтветитьTu(ath)a de Dannan
The "ath" is not pronounced.
Why is this not a movie?
ОтветитьWe can connect this story with Hinduism.
Son of Danu fight with Demi God and lost and went out from india, and they arrive in Ireland.
Descendants of Noah is Ironic.😊
