A tip for cutting the holes:
Start on the underside of the timber where the pencil marks are and drill about halfway through, then flip the timber over to the good side and then drill all the way, this way you will have a nice smooth edge, start slowly and don't rush, the holesaw can grab, you don't want to do yourself a mischief.
