"'Cause cops love donuts.
"And I love cops."
They started the episode liking each other so we’ll, until Bond gets as brought up lmao
ОтветитьSpent quite a bit of bus money
ОтветитьWhen I reccomend On Cinema to people IDK how to explain that they've gotta watch it all in order to get the jokes and derailments that took seasons to build up to...
this era, season 5ish, is kinda where the insanity starts bubbling up. Tim's new injuries/sicknesses begin to get more insane, his attentions start spreading to various temporal obsessions, Gregg really embraces his passive aggressive war against Tim's megalomania...
I wish I had a way to adequately explain what On Cinema is and why being patient is so rewarding but it inevitably ends up with me meandering on about "they make a review show of supremely low quality on purpose that branches into several different ostensibly real events/projects" and never actually does the show justice.
How do any of you successfully suggest this insane project to people? Most of my friends and family aren't the target demo and certainly wouldn't get it, but there are some who would. I really feel real fans of comedy or just fans of unique brilliance in any genre are missing out not participating in this genius project.
I almost never meet people in my real life who are fans of this sorta thing so perhaps I'm just trying to create fans.
Reanalysis of OnCinema every rewatch and recognizing the absolute genius but having zero outlet for talking about something so impressive is such an annoying unscratchable itch. Happens when zi discover a particularly great novel or series too.
If anyone on earth is a fan of this shit and anything like Kim Stanley Robinson's literary contributions I have yet to meet them, id probably get weirdly psyched and appear socially repressed though. For all my social interaction, It all feels unfulfilling until you meet people you truly share taste with. I almost never do, but hopefully OnCinema at least garners the recognition it deserves down the road.
I like the ones where Greg is the guest.
ОтветитьI love how quickly these “letters” get to Greg after something he’s proud of
ОтветитьI've got half a mind to just hop on my Kawasaki and head back to Jackson Hole. 😡😤
Ответитьthe new generation, sort of your hip-hop generation, web-enabled 2.0
ОтветитьThis is NOT your grandparents Expendables!
ОтветитьHuh?
ОтветитьCHUCK NORRIS, EVEN...
ОтветитьThey made Expendables for Grandparents. It’s The Irishman
Ответить“They probably all worked for scale..”
Underrated Line. Lmao
The sheer number of really horrible Hollywood sh*tshow movies On Cinema has brought to my attention is staggering. I knew they churned out garbage at a high rate, but my lord. Both of these look to be an insult to humanity and decency.
ОтветитьI have just enough money to see that comedy this summer. Not enough for a bag of popcorn, but will sneak a couple hostess donuts inside for a summer movie snack!
ОтветитьWhen Tim said, "You're bumming me out," I became a Timhead.
ОтветитьBeing in a film with joe Estevez is such a badass feather to have in onez cap
ОтветитьSome good "Oh God" facts in this one
ОтветитьThank you for the workout advise Gregg
ОтветитьWait, so is Gregg Turkington ALWAYS the special guest?
ОтветитьOf course Tim would love cops.
ОтветитьLets be Cops has "Flashes of brilliance" lol I love the way Gregg puts things
ОтветитьSome things that arent hard, don't... usually become...things that stink.
Tim Heidecker
On Cinema is the ultimate WBS.
Ответитьyou can get those big muscles just by working out
ОтветитьBuddy funny time movies are my favorite!!!
ОтветитьTim calling the end of the show too early is hilarious.
ОтветитьTim really hates Bond.
ОтветитьThese comments are all from stank Tim sympathizers. Where are my Gregg Heads at?
ОтветитьThis episode is absolutely incredible for 2 reasons:
1) “I have half a mind to get on my Kawasaki and head back to Jackson Hole…” is one of the greatest lines ever spoken by Heidecker.
2) This is one true example of Gregg actually pulling some real deal BS. Gregg knows what he’s doing, it IS a concept joke, and he is trolling Tim on purpose. He plays it off so stone cold, so masterfully.
"This isn't your grandparent's Expendables" - T. Heidecker
ОтветитьProud to be a member of the "hip hop generation, web-enabled generation 2.0"
Ответить“They probably work for scale because they love the work”
ОтветитьI love how these running gags develop. Joe Estevez being a film LEGEND, Gregg being randomly obsessed with some uninteresting 1977 picture and Tim loving Jack Reacher just to spite the Bondheads xDD
ОтветитьTim's grace and composure is truly legendary. He possesses the patience of a saint dealing with Gregg's antics. Even the best amongst us would've slapped some sense into Gregg years ago.
ОтветитьTim always forgetting things and ending the show prematurely makes it seem like he'd rather be anywhere else than on his own movie critic show
ОтветитьI am starting to think this obsession with "Oh God" is an intentional just to bum Tim out.
Ответить“I know my movie trivia as to who’s dead and who’s alive.”
ОтветитьOne of my favorite episodes
ОтветитьGregg may not have learned how to behave properly on the show yet, but his "Yeah you'll get on your Kawasaki and fall right off before you even put the key in the ignition" quip is a step in the right direction.
ОтветитьLove them all but season 5 was special
ОтветитьThe look on Greg's face and the slight movement of the camera to show the hot girl on location are such a funny touch. Those little details are constantly cracking me up.
ОтветитьFlashes of briliance.
ОтветитьYou know I don’t like bond so stop bringing it up
Ответить"I'm pretty sure it's the same supermarket"
Ответить
