Not all heroes wear capes. When you see what you have to do and what people suggest to do when installing DynDOLOD while it's so simple. Why people suggest disabling AV's (i use BitDefender) or disabling OneDrive is beyond me. Thank you man. Keep being awesome.

I was under the impression that for a 64-bit computer you should always download the X64 versions of things. Is there a reason why I need to download both the X64 and X86 version of Visual Studio?

after running the textgen my game has crashed, does anyone know a way to reverse the textgen?

Your videos are very much appreciated. I'm giving my modding set up another go as I have miserably failed in the past. I am squeaky clean now.
In the past, I ended up with a not matching CK and it's fixes versions for reasons I still don't understand. In order to avoid a repeat, could you pls point out which fixes are the correct ones for the latest CK?

I don't understand how I can make player homes start to finish for people in a matter of hours but I can't do this correctly. This was the simplest walk through I've ever seen and I still failed. Just going to give up lol

ive been coming back almost hourly to watch a vid to get help with mods, cant say how much i appreciate it all

No matter what I do, the LOD doesn't show up in game, I get no errors while generating and trying it with vanilla skyrim with only the requirements installed didn't help, the MCM Menu shows up fine...

i may be being an idiot bc im super unfamiliar with all this, but ive not got a prompt to set the texgen output load order? it just runs, i click zip and exit and then... nothing. usually when ive installed other mods, vortex has givne me a prompt to fix any load order stuff.
when i try to run dyndolod afterwards, either having deleted the output folder or not, it fails bc it cant detect the texgen stuff.
am i meant to do it manually? ive searched the mod folder and aslo LOOT but couldnt find anything related to either texgen or dyndolod in there

If you get the error with TexGen it's because you have DynDOLOD 2.9.7 not 3.0

If you get the error about missing a DLL with papyrus scripts it's because nowadays the two mods he shows from DynDOLOD DLL SE are not two separate ones despite there being two listings. You need to install part 1 and 2 with mod manager download, then you will get a message saying how the file "already exists" This is sort of true but not really. Do not click replace. Instead click merge and the merged file will work.

What I really love about this tutorial is that even though, during my multiple day troubleshooting sessions for my new modlist, when I have dynDOLOD issues, coming back to this tutorial and following it word by word solves my problems every time. I struggle with written instructions so having a step-by-step process out loud with VISUALSSS is so helpful. Bless Skyrimls extensive modding community 😭

If you're having an error message on DynDOLOD telling you to clean the DLCs, you need to download SSEEdit off Nexus, install it as a tool to Vortex the same way but run the Quick Auto Clean tool. Select one DLC file with the tool and wait for it to finish. Open it back up and do it for each of the DLC files one at a time.

When I try running TexGen I get "Found stitched object LOD textures from earlier TexGen generation installed in game folder". I see TexGen is looking for steam instead of my GOG version of the game, how do I change that?

It's like he knows our brains are smooth so he shows and even zooms in on the appropriate selections. Great stuff
