I shortened Naruto Shippuden's 178th episode down to about one minute

This random filler episode has better animation than 95% of Boruto

Its cool that they have the original soundtrack for this chapter

Alas, if only those ladies going after Naruto had a taste for them too, but no one gets out of bed if there has to be underwear, ha ha. Also liked how their mask resembled those background workers in Japanese theater. And I bet for Naruto saving the village, Sarutobi is actually going to spend a whole extra minute standing outside his doorway when he delivers his check while he doesn't notice.

This filler looks so sick what the hell? This frels like a different ninja anime

This was the final chapter in Iruka's flashback. Funny enough, the video only really covered the first half of the episode, aside from Naruto running away from Iruka in the beginning over what happened last episode.

In the second half of the episode, Iruka tells Naruto that the Third Hokage is powerful and respected and that the Fourth saved the entire village from disaster. It's here that Naruto decides on his dream to be the Hokage and earn everyone's respect. Iruka chuckles and carves a line in a nearby tree, telling Naruto he has to get that tall before he can even think about becoming Hokage.

In the present day, Iruka sees the same mark and everyone celebrating Naruto and muses to himself that Naruto really has grown enough to achieve his dream. Yamato, meanwhile, finally arrives back at the village and thinks Naruto's the cause of all the destruction, as his abilities told him Naruto had gone all the way to Eight-Tails Form. Shukaku shows up and fills Yamato in, causing him to sigh in relief, while an ANBU officer requests Shukaku for an emergency meeting.

Meanwhile, Sasuke is waiting for Suigetsu, who finally returns after retrieving his sword from Bee's hideout. Now that they are all healed and rested, Team Taka sets off for Konoha. Elsewhere, Zetsu informs Kisame, who apparently knows Tobi is Madara now, and Tobi that Nagato has died and Konan has fled somewhere. Kisame is charged with grabbing Eight-Tails while Tobi decides to get Nagato's Rinnegan himself.

This episode left so many mixed feelings. Do we re really need a plot where Naruto just accidentally saves the village? I mean, come on, it is just a flashback. Can we go without dramatically high stakes for once? It subtracts from the story, honestly.

But first and foremost: That dog-face wall technique of Kakashi is superb! It has some Fullmetall Alchemist vibes. Complete with transmutation lightnings.

Iruka: "...and that is how I became the foster parent of the host of the giant fox demon that killed my parents. Now that I think about it, this tale is kinda similar to the first episode. Ah well, back to the plot!"

Wtf?? Why does the animation for this look so good for these scenes!?

Man they were REALLY padding for time waiting for the manga to continue.
