Reminds me a bit of my old Amstrad NC100. That thing was brilliant.
Ответитьthis thing needs to be barebones kit. change my mind
ОтветитьI need to know what kinda switches he is getting that are gonna be $2 a pop
ОтветитьAs a software developer who always has a terminal emulator open, this would be great for monitoring server or debug output or just keeping your tabs with terminal windows on or for chat channels when game streaming. A few small improvements and that could be seriously useful. Even more so if you add a few macro keys. You can use it for a Bitfocus Companion emulator, too.
ОтветитьNOPE
ОтветитьI wonder if it would work for writing/author stuff
Ответитьah so much whining
Ответитьthis is a great Logic Pro for iPad controller
it just needs a row of 12 drum pads and 4 rotary encoders to be ultimate
Never understood why the "shaky camera" recording.
ОтветитьAgreed on the hinged screen
Ответить"This is good"
"Here's all the things I'd do to change it to make it exactly like a laptop"
Plug a raspberry pi into it
ОтветитьIf ready100! computer didn't STEAL MY MONEY then I could buy one of these!
ОтветитьThinking of the usage in Resolve and other NLEs and DAWs. Definitely worth it for Mini PC builds, even the Mac Studio.
Ответитьi'm better than u sorry dude
ОтветитьTandy Computing - 2022 edition!
ОтветитьLmao. Love how you can 'forget' spending $400. Weird flex.
Ответитьdon't hate on hong kong .. is the company not the country..
ОтветитьHe wishes the panel was on a hinge.
My guy you just described a LAPTOP.
I can't verify that it is the "original" but the Kwumsy K3 was the first one that I saw; based on the ASUS laptop. The Kwumsy has a tilt screen and is cheaper. Also, they sell the monitor only for under $100 that can be used the same way for those who already like their mechanical keyboard. Also, there is free software to use an Android or Mac tablet as an additional screen without the docking station capabilities. You can get good switches for cheap these days ~ $50.
ОтветитьBehold I’ve taken the hinges off a laptop and sawed the screen in half! It will sell trillions.
ОтветитьLooks like my laptop. An rog duo
ОтветитьThis is cool, but I wouldn't pay more than 200-250 bucks for it, personally. Screen should be tiltable, I agree.
ОтветитьYou look like the Thomas Delauer of Tech! :O (compliment)
Ответитьgreat success
Ответитьoh you KNOW someone is cramming a full computer into this thing for a custom cyberdeck
ОтветитьThat keyboard would be great for discord. Probably might get it, lol
ОтветитьSeriously, why this over a laptop. I don't get it. There are laptop models available with mechanical switch keyboards, some even Cherry MX.
ОтветитьWhy wouldn’t you use a laptop? It’s smaller and has a larger screen.
Ответитьzenbook duo?
ОтветитьI'd be all over it... if it was a full sized keyboard. :(
Ответитьthat's royal Kludge RK71 keyboard
ОтветитьWhat about power consumption. A mini uses 60 watt average this box 500 watt minimum.
ОтветитьI love clicky keyboards. I had one at work & got in trouble because Mr. Prissy two cublicals away couldn't think due to the noise. OTOH, he was always on speaker phone, yelling.
ОтветитьI wouldn't like this . Typing on this and staring my neck looking down
ОтветитьMy wife left me
ОтветитьBuffer me more op alike these computer keyboard epp pop
Ответитьyears ago I was searching the internet very frequently to find ultra wide touch screens.
I can see the use for them, especially as a panel that sits underneath your main display and matches and lines up with it horizontally. Which obviously this isn't but hey, it's a step.
I was interested in using it for my professional audio/music work. I could have my main touch screen at an optimal angle for editing and the second 'half panel' directly underneath it at an optimal angle for controlling faders, hitting macro buttons and potentially even the odd keyboard typing.
I'm sure that could be useful for other use cases too. video editing, broadcasting, whatever. Neat.
I feel like Apple actually slowed down the touch screen adoption for computers other than tablets/phones.
A little disappointed about that, I think touch screens are GREAT for computing.
are they cherry switches, or what? "clicky" is not a helpful description..
ОтветитьNo 389 dollar keyboard should ship with base blue, brown or red switches. Especially blue, even if you like clicky switches, blue switches are the absolute worst. That said, Gateron is far superior to cherry nowadays. Has been the case for years now.
ОтветитьGateron switches are actually far superior to cherry nowadays. But the base switches from all the brands kinda suck. Esp the clicky ones. And I say this as someone that used to love clicky switches. If you want the best clicky switches you should probably get crystal khail boxes. They're box switches so super stable. The jade and navy color ones are the loudest switches I've ever heard. Typing with jades sounds like a mini machine gun going off. They're also extremely heavy (it feels like you're breaking a small stick every time you press a key)
ОтветитьMac book pro have a much better dedicated touch bar with true shortcuts and precision tools
ОтветитьHotswappable! Hiddy Ho
ОтветитьI've been messing around with Raspberrypi/PiHole and i don't have a ton of spare keyboards, monitors and mice knocking around. This would be perfect, but not for that price, maybe $100.
Ответить# 1695
ОтветитьGreat intro
