Oh, a sweaty Morten.....
ОтветитьYou said The Solar 4G system uphill, it could have Voltage reading, you can use ESP32 with WiFi or ethernet and send Voltage and current readings from solar system to serve data on local website or MQTT broker in house. If it sounds complicated i seen fancy charge controllers with Wifi or ethernet and an App. I do such measurements and relays control with ESP32 on Wifi and OpenHab server with MQTT protocol. I use Arduino to code ESP32. There are libraries to use measurement boards from Aliexpress like ACS 712 for current and use resistor divider to measure voltage with onboard ESP32 ADC converter. Just Idea of projects i did😅.

ОтветитьMorten and helpers, truly impressive results on this driveway!! Job well done!
ОтветитьThe layered rock you have there is called Schist in English. It's a sedimentary rock, so was deposited at the bottom of lakes or oceans. There is changing deposition of bio materials that petrify over the millenia which causes the layering.
Schist is often the material in which very well preservedt fossils ar found, so do keep an open eye for structures that break the layered pattern in there, you may have a unique specimen of a long gone species of plant or animals in it!
Looking really good, hows it doing presently, as I assume a delay exists on releasing the video. What's the drying time like :D
ОтветитьWell done. Your neighbours may have footbridges across the gully for a reason though! You may have to dig the gully out again and put reinforced concrete slabs over it that you can drive over, like a wider version of your neighbours' foot bridges, as it looks like an awful lot of rain pours down the side of the road now and again, and your little pipe under the concrete may not cope with it (if it hasn't been squashed by the lorry!). That delivery driver deserves a medal by the way. Well worth 100 euros and then some! 😁
ОтветитьGreat work
Ответитьshould they be a small break in the concrete to help prevent it cracking.... never done anything like this so cannot really comment.... lol great video...
ОтветитьGreat work on your drive, and the side stones are called Curb Stones, as they sit at the sides of roads and paths, hence curb :).
ОтветитьNo, no no . Its much too big of a job. U need to practise on smaller jobs first. Ive a small front garden that needs turning into a drive.....
Wow what a view
Hi Morten! Looks like you're keeping very busy. Not meaning to say you're doing it wrong, just an observation here - i'm wondering if you would've been better to compact the dirt & stones with a vibrating roller or plate before laying the concrete. As the dirt settles i'm guessing it may cause the concrete to crack. Too late now to change your plans :P Hope it all works out ok 👍
ОтветитьGreat video - man that looks like a LOT of work - bet you will sleep like a stone! Thanks for sharing! Cant wait to see it done!
ОтветитьExcellent video Morten! Driveway 2.0 is going to look very nice. Are you putting in a concrete walkway from the driveway to the side door or around the front of the house?
ОтветитьYou have to get permission to light a fire on your own land? What kind of fcked up country is that? I wasn't aware Portugal had a gestapo-like nanny government like the US... amazing. EDIT: Love your videos by the way, sorry for the rant :D
ОтветитьLike they say… when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I see a lot of lemonade in your future… at least if you figure out the irrigation, maybe run a waterline and put it on a timer. Also cover the ground around the tree trunk with stones or mulch to minimise evaporation. Thank you for making these videos!
ОтветитьMan , it would be my dream to have two houses :) Are you from Portugal ?
ОтветитьVery good job
ОтветитьI hope you covered the concrete and watered it a few times so it dries slow and evenly, otherwise all this nice work will be covered in cracks in the meanwhile =/
ОтветитьIs the driveway made to clear the garage?
Ответитьdo some terracing and composting - both will help, in meantime bring in some topsoil and cow manure - looks green for now - you know it can't last - at least try some a/b tests - you need a big desk and multiple monitor setup, experiment with opnsense multiwan to other home server, double down on solar and batteries - you have lots of projects to keep you busy
Ответитьthe rebar should be raised from the ground, and there should be more cement it seems a weak mix
ОтветитьLooks like it will be a nice driveway, gravel is always a pain in the rear area, it never stay where it should be
Ответить: )
