Best experienced with headphones and full screen! It’s fairly mundane when you take something out of the freezer and let it thaw out on the counter - or is it? This video started as an experiment, but after seeing the results, we knew there was a cool video to be made from it. The video was filmed with an improved technique, and everything is just sharper and brighter. As an added bonus, we mixed in foley sound effects to try to ground the visuals in an auditory space.

This video is designed to elicit an autonomous sensory meridian response, otherwise known as ASMR. The sound design is creatively interpreted and makes use of some real recording of what it actually sounds like.
What is ASMR? Taken from Wikipedia:
"Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli. The nature and classification of the ASMR phenomenon is controversial, with much anecdotal evidence of the phenomenon but little or no scientific explanation or verified data."
