My First Ever Pair of New Balance 997 - How Good Are They?

I’m thinking on getting the new balance 997 Todd Snyder triborough in grey would u recommend pulling the trigger on 333$ ?? Or wait for price to drop ??

Great model..From 2015 to about 2019 NB was putting out one great 997 GR after the next! There were some great colabs from J Crew and Concepts but my favorite 997s happen to be GRs..The ski pack 997s are insane

Great review - I've had the same thing happen to my laces on the UnNDing and grey 992s. Try to lessen the loop if you can (like in a sweater or other garment), probably wouldn't want to cut and burning it might be worse cosmetically? I guess it's a danger with the woven laces. They look awesome, but easily pulled to a loop...

I went TTS on 998s & OG 990 & they fit great. IDK why everyone says -0.5 size... 🤷🏼

I like the 997, but I’d still rather have a 998

Some of my favorite NB's aesthetically...but has been said multiple times...wish they were more comfortable. Probably a part of why the 997 offspring (S, H, etc.) were created.

I actually prefer the 574 over the 997; I like the smoother lines over the angular silhouette.

Having said that I don't own either pairs as I know they won't be able to steal any feet-time away from my 990V5s, 991s and 992s 😅

997 is easily my favorite Made in USA model. Such a nice shape and design. Unfortunately it gets overlooked by the currently hyped stuff releasing these days and because of that we haven't seen many releases by NB. Such a shame
