I think that the books aren’t cannon because Henry and William originally came from the books (albeit very different) and I think the same thing is gonna happened with the mimic in SOTM

I thought the mimics origin story was that the pieces were hard to put together?

Honestly I like the designs of all the new characters in the FNAF Secret of the Mimic gameplay trailer except for Tiger Rock as I think he should have been a mascot costume version of the digital Tiger Rock animatronic we see in the Tales from the Pizzaplex short story Tiger Rock with him looking similar in design to the lion mascot costume from FNAF Security Breach Ruin but without the mane, being white with black stripes, and wearing an Elvis Presley suit.

I also hope that in addition to the mushroom mascot costume we see in the gameplay trailer, all of the other mascot costumes from the Tales from the Pizzaplex books show up in the game as well such as the pink and green jester mascot costume which the Mimic later gets springlocked in, the grayish-purple lion mascot costume which I imagine would look like the lion mascot costume from FNAF Security Breach Ruin just grayish-purple instead of tawny, and the monkey mascot costume which I imagine would look like one of those monkey toys with the cymbals.

I’m pretty sure that story takes place after the “storyteller” and maybe G GY as that’s when the animatronic start acting up. but before the staff meeting that killed a bunch of people with the glamrock Endo.
