Around the world today in our modern cultures, ghost stories are the norm in many countries. We flock to theaters, devour books on the topic and do everything we can to scare ourselves silly. As it turns out, such stories of supernatural creepiness are nothing new; the ancients had their own tales of phantoms, ghosts, daemons and shades. In his many letters, Pliny the Younger, the famous Roman philosopher, told the story of ATHENODORUS, a Greek poet, who bought an abandoned house on the cheap, and discovered a dastardly ghost of his own! This story goes back to ancient Roman times and just goes to show that no matter what age a person lives in, a chilling tale goes a long way around the fire at night! Take a listen and enjoy a little slice of paranormal ancient history!
