As for Luka on defense. Paul Pierce is right. Have Luka guard a forward. You can’t have him & AR guarding the other teams’ two guards. Or bring AR off the bench. It’s not that hard. Doesn’t anyone remember the Showtime Lakers? By the late 80’s Magic no longer guarded the other team’s point guard or shooting guard. They rotated… B Scott would guard their PG & Worthy, who was the quickest player they had, would guard their shooting guard. Magic would guard the small forward or power forward depending on the match up and be in better position to get the rebound and start the fast break while Worthy would already be halfway down the court to receive the pass. In fact, the plan was to have Worthy guard MJ in the ‘91 Finals but had a badly sprained ankle which ruined the Lakers’ plan. The current Lakers can do the same with Luka, who isn’t small and is a good rebounder and then he’s in position to start the fast break going the other way.

Football don’t play that many games so yes they can go out and play other sports, basketball plays 80+ games threw out the season that’s not including play offs to do that 20+ years is crazy
